A Sacred Pause For The Cause

To be a seeker is a gift and a privilege in a world gone mad.Gurumayi Chidvendasanda 2020 Message: Ātmā kī Prashānti (”Peacefulness of the Self”)

Well Family,

Here we are.

Me and you in a moment of truth that can be both terrifying and exhilarating.

Terrifying because the nature of this infectious agent continues to spread and there is still so much that we do not know. Exhilarating because deep down all of us understand that we are standing on the precipice of something bigger.

We are watching our global society reinvent itself in the blink of an eye.

And we are watching our fellow citizens stare this pandemic down with the kind of creativity, compassion, imagination and humor that will literally take our consciousness to the next level.

Are we really that powerful?

I believe we are.

At the top of 2020 many of us dove in like we were shot out of a cannon, with a kind of intensity, urgency and tenacity that said: “New decade?! – let’s make it happen!!!”

And WE commenced to overstretching, overreaching and over-striving with a rigor and force that was unprecedented. We were promising and pressurizing all over the place.

And we were NOT breathing!

So, the universe, in its infinite wisdom has given all of us a reason to pause.

2020’s cosmic energy (4 in numerology) is all about foundation and in our New Year’s Message at the top of the year I talked about the work that each of us would be called to do in order to re-align with our respective paths and callings.

When it comes to success and achievement, we’ve been conditioned to bring our focus and attention to striving in the external world. We believe that our greatest progress lives “out there.” So much so that it takes great effort to sit still, even for 5 minutes!

Even in the face of a rampant virus.

(Raise your hands if you’ve had to sit your 75 year old parents down and tell them they can’t go to bingo this week! -LOL)

It is important to laugh in these times. To observe ourselves as we respond to this mega crisis which has become an awesome opportunity.

Foundation – what is the nature of your foundation right now? It’s time to slow down and take an honest inventory.

In a recent meditation, I asked SOURCE about the meaning of this time.

You are on SACRED PAUSE she said. So that you can RESET your energy. So that you can RE-ALIGN with your truth.

This is why you are being told to go home – literally and metaphorically.

For some of us, home is not a happy place, it is a place of chaos and mayhem, of trauma and dysfunction of anxiety and pressure. It’s not a place where we feel free or safe.

For others of us, home is sacred ground. It is the place where love lives and it may be the only place where we feel we can fully be ourselves.

Whatever the case may be, in order to move forward each of us must tend to home right now. Especially if we have great ambitions and aspire to make a difference in the world.

There are too many examples of leadership at the highest level where home has been neglected. Where old negative patterns, wounded habits and knee jerk behaviors have put our peace and security at risk and threatened the very fabric of what we seek to accomplish as a global society.

When home is shakey very little can be solid.

Whether that home is family or even just our own personal well being, the neglect eventually takes its toll.

All of us are being called right now – to get our house in order. Spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically and financially.

To address what lies at the heart of our foundation. To affirm what we need in order to rise and release that which does not clarify, strengthen nor empower.

Our relationships matter.

Our relationships to our Self, our Source, and our World.

And now is the time to bring those relationships back into balance.You have been given the gift of this time;

Go within and listen to what really wants your energy and attention right now.

Come back to your Vision for your life or create it anew.

Examine your Mission and your work – what have you been given to offer to this world?

Check in on your Purpose – are you doing what you’re really here to do?

Invest in your Homebase – redefine it – redesign it – reorganize it – relocate it.

Do whatever you need to do to have your Foundation represent YOU!

In this time of RE- alignment, there are three important practices I’d love for you to observe.

The First, is to examine your source of information. When in times of crisis – where do you go? Who do you listen to? What feeds your knowledge, awareness and understanding? Stay rooted in good information and release any temptation for sensationalism.

The Second – is to keep your spirits high. Remember, you are co-creating in your listening, thinking, speaking and acting. Give voice to the world you want to see and the person you want to be and leave the rest alone.

The Third – is to discover how to sit in that which is uncertain. Can you still find laughter, peace, strength and divine knowing? Keep exercising the faith that All Is Well, There is Enough and You Are Worthy.

COVID-19 is our Buddha.

Teaching us the valuable lessons of true power, discernment, courage and compassion.Let us stay in DEVOTION.

As we surrender to this Sacred Pause for the Cause

Of Re-Aligning with Our Highest Truth

I Love You!

Part 5: Permission to Succeed

Part 5: Permission To Be Succeed by Rha Goddess

If you want the video of this, click here to watch Part 5: Permission To Succeed

So far, we’ve talked about:

Part 1: Permission To Be Clear

Part 2: Permission To Be Convicted

Part 3, Permission To Pursue Your Conviction

Part 4: Permission To Be On a Journey

Because we’re mere weeks away from the release my new book, I’m hearing from more and more of you. The Insider’s Club is still available for pre-orders, so click here to learn more about that.

This is the “final-ish” permission and I say that because there are more permissions that need to be granted. However, this fifth permission is powerful and essential and good. Shout out to my Goaldiggers, my Waychangers, my SHE Prophets, my Spirit Junkies: what a joy it has been to be with you all over the last couple of weeks. The countdown is here. Two weeks away from the end of the decade. This just recently dawned on me. There is a whole additional set of excitement AND angst that people are feeling because of the nature of what’s going on right now. I feel you, I hear you, we got you.

Permission 5 Personal Story from Rha

I have some personal things to share about this last permission. We were in part four, Permission To Be On a Journey and talking about being messy and willing to let go about perfection and the pressure. I had been doing this meditation exercise: getting up early, getting my workout in, getting my meditation in. I fell off the wagon.

The prosperity plan is 40 days and if you miss a day you have to go back to day one. I was on Day 32. And I missed it. I was so excited: I got this, ready to launch into a new level before the new year, I had the whole narrative down. And I missed a day. So, I have go to back to day one.

The temptation to beat myself down was great when I discovered that I had missed it. I was in this journaling process and I saw myself start to go there and I paused. I said, you know what? I’m not going to do this. I’m not going to do this this way. I’m going to do this a little bit differently. I’m going to create a different kind of reality for myself. I’m going to create a new possibility for myself that isn’t rooted in beating “me” up.

When I made that decision, when I made that commitment, something inside of me shifted. And what I heard was, “you’re on the journey and this is part of your journey.” I’m shifting from an old paradigm into a new paradigm. “If you never stumble, how can you teach this?”

Everything that is happening to me right now (stumble, bumble, slip, drop) is part of the journey. I have to live it to be able to talk other people through it. I need to know the nuances of what this is. I need to know the nooks and crannies of what this is, if I’m really going to hold people to it, walk people through it, guide people through it. I’m not going to get it on the first try.

“Can you have compassion for yourself? Because you’re going to invite other people to be compassionate with themselves.”

For the first time I can consciously remember, I felt deeply grateful for exactly where I was.

I know myself. I’m good but I’m always ready to get THERE… get bigger, higher, stronger. I’ve never really been about here. I’ve never been about being right here in this way. This was deep for me. The first thing I did was rededicated myself: Day 1, here we go. No drama. No mayhem. No self-flagellation. And the second thing I did was have deep and profound gratitude for this life, body and experience. I have the capacity to be awake and aware enough to have gotten that insight in the first place. I have the ability to start over.

I was supremely humbled by this experience. As I’m sharing this, you can guess what I’m going to say. I want you to take this in in a way you never have before.

Your journey is YOURS for a reason. It doesn’t belong to anybody else. I say that with the deepest regard because I know how much we can compare. We see somebody someplace else and it raises all of the feelings about where and what we are not. I want to say to every single one of you that your journey is perfect.

Often, we get moving past where we’ve been. But it’s hard to accept what you’re grappling with or challenging you NOW. What is kicking your behind right now? That is a gift.

Your journey is perfect. It is the place from which you are going to draw your next level of wisdom. It is the place from which you are going to teach. It is the place from which you are going to give your greatest testimony. If you could know that in this moment, right now, what kind of appreciation could you have for where you’are at?

Your job is to become a great observer of your own experience. Your job is to allow yourself to glean the lesson and the insight in real time. One: you are being prepared for whatever is coming. Two: this is part of what you’re here to share. To be on the court, fully engaged in your life – awake and aware – is to be ready to grow your wisdom in real time.

Keep rededicating yourself. I could’ve gotten stuck in 32. But I had to surrender and go back to one and just put my head to the pillow and know that it was divine and perfect and exactly what I was supposed to see. Because I know that right now, for me, building the muscle of rededicating myself to whatever it is (especially if it isn’t coming easy or fast or quick) is good and right. Wherever this is landing for you, keep rededicating yourself.

Keep taking action. Keep moving forward. Let go of judging. Embrace observance. Know that exactly where you are is worthy to be fully honored.

Honor the journey.

Love the journey.

Make friends with the journey.

It is yours. It is 100% yours. No one will have your journey.

Permission 5: Permission To Succeed

This one caught me off guard, I’ll admit it. A couple of months ago, I was in a session moving through a lot of stress and intensity, healing trauma and more. The phrase came up in the tapping meditation, “I give myself permission to succeed.” And actually I heard it for the first time. And what I began to realize about myself when I looked over my life and all of the things that I’ve done: if you look on the front end, I’m working. Extra effort, extra credit, meeting the deadline, doing the thing.

In the background, I had an expectation of failure.

I had a belief that it wasn’t all going to go down: that, no matter what I did, it wouldn’t quite come together. Valiant effort. Nice try, but no cigar. And I had become accustomed to thinking that way and behaving that way. So, frontward facing: all achievement. But, in my mind, heart and spirit, the messages were:

“Not going to work out”

“Not going to come together”

“Not going to happen”

“Not going to win”

“No victory here”

I gave myself no permission to achieve the thing I was working toward. Even though I was killing myself trying to make it happen, I had no expectation of it actually working.

So, when I do succeed, I don’t take it in. It doesn’t even process or register for me. Do you hear me? It doesn’t feel like a win. This is, I think, one of the definitions of imposter syndrome. You can achieve like nobody’s business but you still feel like a failure.

I didn’t know myself as successful, I never felt successful. I saw myself as striving, reaching, overcompensating. And, here I am, launching this huge book, and I’ve put my soul into this. I’ve put in thousands and thousands of hours.

I recognize that, deep deep down, even with all of this effort I’m putting into the book, I have not given myself permission. I’m still operating from: no matter what, it doesn’t matter, it won’t win… I’m not enough… it’s not going to be enough. With all of the ways that I show up physically, I still emotionally am holding back. I’m guarding my heart. I’m protecting myself and shielding myself from the inevitable disappointment of it not working out.

And so, I thought in that moment, let’s do this thing different.

“I give you permission to succeed.”

And what that meant for me (and what that means for me) is emotionally investing in what I want to achieve. I can be willing to open my heart and not hold anything back from what I’m looking to achieve. I need to really give it my all. And to give it my all… publicly.

What Does it Look Like to Have Permission to Succeed?

I give myself permission to care. I’m not going through the motions. I give myself permission to not be ashamed about what I want and to go for it full-force, regardless of the outcome. Here’s the thing: I can’t control what the outcome is. The only thing I can do is control how I show up for it. If any part of me is holding back, I’m not really giving myself full clearance.

I’m going through the motions and I might look good going through the motions. But I’m not really going for it unless my heart’s in it. Permission to succeed is about being willing to allow yourself to invest emotionally in what matters to you.

Permission to succeed is really saying, okay, I’m willing to bet it all on me.

This is about our willingness to write a new story.

Regardless of what happens, I have to trust and believe that those who genuinely love and respect me will continue to do so. Those who are genuinely in my corner will continue to be in my corner. Everything else, I have to let go of. More important than anything, regardless of where it lands, I need to know and believe that I am enough. These things do not define me. I can afford to invest in it, because it does not define me. These things don’t determine whether or not I’m worthy. That’s already been decided by my source.

Reflection Question About Permission Five

So, here is my question for you all:

Are you willing to give yourself permission?

The million dollar question is: what’s holding you back? If there’s any sense of hesitation: what’s holding you back?

One thing that holds back is disappointment. You build a wall. Emotionally you step back. That applies to work, relationships, parenting, everything. In all of those things, you find yourself going through the emotions because failure is too big a risk.

If you never emotionally invest, we’re never really going to know what we’re about. You won’t know your full potential until you give it your all.

Take it Home: Give Yourself Permission

When I tell you that I am newly discovering what I have the potential to be, I really do mean that. I thought I knew, until I recognized that this permission was missing. This is about not only being willing to bet on you but for you to be the one for you. A lot of us have this fantasy about the great rescue. Oh, if Oprah would just have me on. No shame in that aspiration but ultimately you are still hanging onto something else that will determine whether or not you have arrived. This invitation is about being willing to be the star in your own movie; the center of your own reality. That is enough.

You are amazing. You have no reason to hold back. We’ve rationalized and think we do but when we really get underneath it, it’s a lack of this permission. This is a false construct that keeps us from the full truth of who we are.

Permission Five Homework

Think it through:

What’s holding you back?

Could be past assumptions, what you think you don’t have or aren’t capable of.

Where are you holding back?

Get specific: it may not be everywhere.

Are you willing to give yourself total permission to go for it?

This will mean that you receive and experience all of the goodness that comes with that.

You could feel like you’re holding back in a lot of areas. Start the work. You may find a single wall that can be broken down and begin to dismantle the infrastructure where you’re not free in this permission.

Your homework is to work with this. Five minutes in the mirror. Really ask yourself: where am I holding back? Your opportunity is to look at all of the areas but then choose one area where you’re willing to give yourself permission to succeed. Start to work with that one area.

What way will you do things differently and show up as your full self? What do you see that will be different when you’re no longer committed to holding back emotionally? Get specific about a milestone, conquer it, and then go to the next area. Take your time. The timeline is yours. Notice what’s different when you do this: actions, conversations, energy.

Where am I willing to set myself free?

Part 4: Permission To Be On a Journey

Part 4: Permission To Be On a Journey by Rha Goddess

If you want the video of this, click here to watch Part 5: Permission To Be On a Journey

So far, we’ve talked about:

Part 1: Permission To Be Clear

Part 2: Permission To Be Convicted

In Part 3, Permission To Pursue Your Conviction, we talked about pursuing your conviction. The closer we get to the release of my new book, the more I’m hearing this theme reverberating through our community. You get it. You feel it. You need this message. At the end of the year more than ever. So, let’s dive in.

First off, shout out to all of my SHE Summiters, my Spirit Junkies, my Medipreneuers, my Live Love Lead Mastermind Cohorts ONE and TWO… it’s been amazing to be with you ALL over the last couple of weeks. For the last almost four weeks I’ve been on the road. It’s been crazy and it’s wonderful to be back.

One of the conversations we were in was: why is this thing about permission? Why are you going so deep with permission?

I want to remind everyone about love’s third promise, our theme this year: You are worthy. We are practicing this in this quarter by taking bold and unapologetic action. This takes us to the next level of self-love, self-appreciation. This practice of taking one bold action a day is not to be played with. In this conversation about worthiness, it makes perfect sense to be talking about permission.

My Insider’s Club is going deeper around this too. It’s not too late to join that group, so click here to learn more about that.

Permission To Be On a Journey

So, I’ve been on the road for three and half weeks. Literally flew back on Thanksgiving. My agenda was packed: planes, trains, automobiles; stages, platforms, planners; online, live, big crowds little crowds and everything in between. About three quarters into it, I got really sick. I got really sick the night before a major keynote. Literally up until two hours before I was supposed to be on stage, I was curled up in a ball in the middle of the bed. Flat on my back. Totally out of it. Completely done.

If you know me, even a little bit, I don’t do sick. It ain’t my thing. It’s not a thing that I do. I do a significant amount of work to stay well. I believe the truth that I am well. My practices and rituals ensure that I stay well. I believe truth about my soul and my spirit and my physical form. So, me not being well = breakdown. Problem. Worse yet, I have never been flat on my back the day of a keynote. Up until hours before, questioning whether or not I was going to be able to take the stage. For me, that just doesn’t happen.

The deep part about this is what I was able, thank God, about two hours before to turn it around. Lots of prayer, lots of calling in of grace and calling in spirit. I was able to get up, get dressed, get to the venue, deliver, hold people and be connected. I delivered on the message and promise and then curled right back into bed. I came back here and starting to debrief this conversation with my coach yesterday.

I’m looking at my calendar and recognizing this ever-expanding reality and seeing: something has got to give. And that something is me. I want to talk about what I mean when I say this as I introduce this fourth permission. As I look at my calendar and I look at the growing obligations that are showing up on my plate, my temptation is either to:

Pull back (stop it all, cancel it all)

Lean in (force it, push through)

Those are the things that I know. I’m learned in. Those are the things that I have mastered in terms of habits and practices.

The question that I am being asked by spirit right now is “are you willing to do this differently?”

It’s the same question I got asked when I was in the middle of the bed, curled up in a ball. It wasn’t sheer force of will that got me up and got me able to take the stage and deliver. It was surrender. It was surrender. When I look back at it, there was a cue from the universe that said, “Rha. Rest.”

Been given a lot this week.

Been doing a lot this week.

Rest somewhere.

Sit down and be still.

But Rha wouldn’t do it. Let me just get these one, two, three things in first. I can put on my lipstick and heels. I’m strong. I got this. I did not listen. And because I did not listen, I got put flat on my back. You listen or your forced to listen. Invest to rest.

As I am unpacking this, I realize that I’m being given this challenge NOW, because the demands are only going to grow. I’m in a reality right now where my world is expanding and the demands are only going to grow. If I can’t open myself up to doing this differently, I may be in some trouble. If left to my own devices, my contained amount of energy, I’ve got problems. The spirit lectured me up and down about protecting my energy, replenishing my energy, being a good steward of my energy.

I had lots of permission to beat myself up about this.

The only thing that is saving me right now is permission four. Permission four is Permission To Be On a Journey.

Jump-Start the Journey of This Permission

In the last part of this series, Calgary talked about her issues that hold her back from stepping into her calling. We worked in that space between seeing what we want, claiming what we want, owning what we want and taking the actions that are consistent with what we want. Moving from talking about it to actually engaging in the world.

This permission to be the journey is about being willing to not allow the pressure of expectations and perfection and somebody’s else’s opinion and how you think it should go to keep you stuck.

If you are currently feeling:

Stress

Pressure

Anxiety

I want to invite you to breathe deeply with me as we go through this.

Permission to be on the journey is permission to be:

Messy

Imperfect

Not know it all

Be a beginner

Wrong

This is permission to try, stumble, fall, to get back up again. Permission to fail. Permission to try. Permission to try again. Permission to try some more.

Permission to go from foggy to clear.

Permission to go from uncertain to certainty.

We have a problem with not looking good while we’re doing it.

I will tell you, I did not look good two weeks ago. Hot mess. As much as I could beat myself up about it, I had to respect that I’m trying to break forty some-odd years of habits.

If I don’t have an expectation that sometimes I’m going to get it wrong, then I’m not really giving myself permission to try.

Where Are You Willing to Grow?

Being in this permission to be on the journey, you are asking yourself: are you willing to grow? Where are you willing to grow?

Each of us have areas of our lives: our business, family, raising children, everybody has an edge. Every single one of us has an edge that wants to grow. For most of us, we’ve got edges. If we’re really engaged and on the court, every single facet of where we’re moving is inviting you to a new level of growth. When we ask this question, “WHERE are you willing to grow?” what I’m really asking you and what I’m wanting you to listen to is:

Can you allow yourself to be uncomfortable with the current state?

Can you embrace all of what is uncertain right now?

Are you willing to let go of controlling the process?

Are you willing to let go of controlling other people?

Are you willing to let go of controlling all of the forces that makes your desire come together?

Are you willing to dance with the mystery in the name of miracles and magic?

If you really want magic and miracles in your reality, you’ve got to let go of what you know. You’ve got to be willing to surrender to what you don’t know. You have to be willing to be uncomfortable.

Something new is coming through.

This is the end of an era.

I will say to you all, a lot of us think we’re winning with what we know, but it’s not reality and it’s not sustainable.

What It Means To Be On the Journey

This invitation to be on the journey is about the invitation to grow. It is about this invitation to do it differently, to invite something new, to be willing to move outside of our comfort zone and outside of our control zones.

Being on the journey is not about fixing or forcing, it’s about allowing yourself to be guided. Surrender. Maybe not my way. Maybe there’s another way. Maybe there’s something else here I need to learn, understand, embrace or work through.

Real talk: these are identity crises. If you’ve “mastered” a certain way of operating, it’s hard for you to come out of the box.

Part 4 Permission To Be On a Journey Homework

Breathe.

Reflect.

Think about this:

Pick one area where you feel stress, anxiety or an emotional charge.

Home, work, relationship, health and well-being, wherever you want to go.

Presence that area. Close your eyes. Breathe with that area.

What is the conversation that you’ve been having with yourself around that area?

__________________________________________________

I want you to notice the feelings.

__________________________________________________

I want you to observe the thoughts.

__________________________________________________

Ask yourself: where am I being invited to grow right now?

__________________________________________________

Ask yourself: where am I being invited to let go right now?

__________________________________________________

Where am I being invited to give myself some room right now?

________________________________________________

Where am I being invited to welcome in something new and unknown right now?

__________________________________________________

Listen.

Jot down a couple of notes about what you’re starting to hear.

Can you honor the wisdom of what you’re starting to hear?

Permission Four Questions

Are you willing to give yourself permission to try?

Are you willing to give yourself permission to explore?

Are you willing to give yourself permission to look silly?

Are you willing to give yourself permission to not know?

Are you willing to give yourself permission to be a work in progress?

Permission Four Core Ideas and Reflections

You are a work in progress.

You are a divine, magnificent work in progress.

But a work in progress nonetheless.

This permission is about being willing to honor the power of where you are.

Honor where you are, especially in relationship to where you want to be.

This is about allowing:

Grace

Magic

Mystery

To help you close the gap between where you are and where you want to be.

This is the permission to change your mind.

This is the permission to change your direction.

This is the permission to shift your perspective.

This permission is the room you allow yourself to truly evolve and grow.

Once you get where you think you need to go, the next opportunity will come. Life is designed to grow you. Your soul wants nothing more than to evolve. It’s going to keep bringing you opportunities and challenges so that you will lean in. This idea of giving yourself permission to be a journey is really saying, I give myself permission to be alive.

The growing edge conversation about ripe and ready is all about not trying to force change. The conversation is a respect for nature and the evolutionary, organic process that is always operating on your behalf. Your work is to stand on the edge. It you are behind the edge, you’re bored and playing small. If you’re over the edge, you are stretched and reaching and overwhelmed. On your edge is that sweet spot where it’s just the right stretch in just the right places and you have the capacity to meet that stretch and the reaching for it actually excites and enlivens you.

How you get there, how it looks, the timeline: those are the things that you get to let go of and surrender because those are the things that you cannot control.

Our willingness to be on the journey is all about being willing to surrender and work in a new way and live in a new way.

Give yourself permission to let go.

Give yourself permission to take the next step.

Give yourself this permission over and over and over again.

This becomes the practice.

Part 3: Permission to Pursue

Permission To Pursue Your Conviction by Rha Goddess

In Part 2, Permission To Be Convicted, we talked about living in your truth. We navigated the permission you give yourself to follow your principles and values. This discussion generated a lot of heat as many of you reflected back how important it is to feel free to follow your convictions. This is a huge part of pursuing your calling (more about that in my new book).

This conversation began as I kept encountering, over and over, people wondering: how can I live in a higher level of freedom? I realized that many amazing people aren’t giving themselves permission… and you need it.

As we continue this series, Click Here to watch the Part 3: Permission to Pursue Your Conviction FB Live Video. And read on for a summary and your homework.

I was at Kripalu last week hanging with all of my Spirit Junkies. These level two leaders are spiritual guides and have a high level of understanding. They also have a high level of conviction and I saw the temperature rise as we drew into that conversation. They have some amazing convictions: to stand in the gap for mothers, to reunite families, high and amazing visions for social justice. Some of them, though, said “I can’t find it” and were having trouble identifying their passion or conviction. To them, I said “what pisses you off?” You need to assess and find valuable information in what I call the “360 Degrees of Inspiration”: what makes you smile, what makes you grit your teeth, these are the things that will show you where your true passions lie.

When I said that to my team member she said, “was that about being in action, Rha?” It’s doing the thing. Whatever it takes to move forward. This permission is about the action that chooses your conviction.

Here come all the concerns:

What is so-and-so going to think?

Do I have everything I need?

Now, the questioning comes. We question our clarity and conviction because we are taking this out of the living room into the world.

This is the rubber meets the road permission.

Permission To Pursue

What happens for you when you hear me say this?

This can produce anxiety. You begin to question yourself: do I have enough experience, do I have enough education, do I know enough about the subject, can I do this, why would anybody listen to me? The list goes on and on and on and on in terms of the reasons you may feel justified in not pursuing your calling. These concerns show up like locks and stops.

I want you to start to look at:

Where are you pursuing?

Where are you not pursuing?

What are you telling yourself about why you are not pursuing what you say matters to you?

Whatever your concerns are, something at the core of it is: if we take actions, there will be repercussions. Whether it’s imperfect or flawed in some way, whether it feels vulnerable or threatening, do a gut check: is there a correlation between being in action and experiencing difficult or negative consequences as a result?

Permission Three Reflections:

Have this conversation with yourself. Do a self-assessment to determine the source of your fear, hesitation or reticence.

My teammate Calgary said, “I’m scared of the first draft version of myself. It’s going to be messy. I don’t want to put out messy.”

What does it mean if it’s messy? Ask yourself.

Check for perfectionism.

Check for false beliefs.

Check for fear.

What keeps you off the court?

What do you think the consequences will be?

Define it. Name it. Call it out.

Examples of lies you may believe: you only have one shot.

Now, move into a genuine analysis of the time you spend doing what you are really passionate about: what percent of the day are you engaging in actions that move your vision forward?

Fill the percentage in: _____

What percentage of those actions, though, are actual needle-movers and not just distraction actions?

Fill the percentage in: _____

How to Give Yourself Permission to Pursue

This is going to require a paradigm and behavioral shift.

You have to work to build the muscle to do the things that you know are most game-changing FIRST (every. single. day). At Move the Crowd, we talk a lot about high-leverage actions. In other words, are you getting maximum return your investment in whatever you are doing minute-over-minute, hour-over-hour, day-over-day?

I believe this permission to pursue is the crux of the matter.

When I say it’s the crux of the matter, I think it’s the difference between people who achieve and people who don’t.

People who give themselves this permission make it a practice to let what it is what they want to seek and find them. The minute you start seeking, it starts seeking you. People don’t realize that what you want wants you. We feel like there’s a way we have to prove ourselves or show ourselves as worthy to have the kind of success that we want.

Here’s the important part about permission: you don’t just have to give yourself permission once. You have to give yourself permission every day. And, truthfully, if you’re really awake at the wheel, you have to give yourself permission multiple times a day.

This permission to pursue as a practice becomes important because it’s where we develop the discipline and build the habit of leaning into what we say is important. Dare I say, it IS a habit we have to build. My experience, most people don’t come out of the box that way. We have things we talk about, dream about, that really matter to us but they get pushed to the bottom of the list. There are a lot of reasons why this happens and it’s very easy to be distracted.

Sometimes, your biggest enemy is distraction. Distraction is so easy. It will creep up on you.

You may have to break your goals down into micro-actions. I mean, make the action so small that it feels absolutely effortless for you.

I did this when I was writing my book:

Step 1: sit down in the chair in front of the laptop.

Step 2: put the laptop on.

Step 3: sit with the intention of writing.

Step 4: write one word.

Step 5: write two words.

Step 6: write a sentence.

Then, it would start to come and I would write.

When you are looking at those things you know you are stuck around, can you break it down to its micro level?

At the Center of Permission to Pursue

There is a core issue at the center of this permission and it is the permission to be vulnerable. As we go deeper into these permissions, the vulnerability factor is going to get bigger and bigger. But the permission to pursue means:

Giving yourself permission to look silly.

Giving yourself permission to be messy.

Giving yourself permission to step forward.

Giving yourself permission to carve time.

Giving yourself permission to let other people know that this is what you’re working on.

Sometimes you don’t have to talk about it, you just need to be about it. And people will see what you’re about.

The more you’re building the habit, the more you’re stopping your critical mind. This is about interrupting that pattern at whatever level you are.

Level one: get on the court.

Level two: is the action moving in the right direction?

Level three: do the action that is really moving the needle.

The critical mind can be retrained. It is incredibly clever. We have to work to create a different kind of dialogue that moves us out of the habit of stopping and into the habit of pursuing.

What is one thing you can say to yourself that would move you?

Your people are out there waiting for you to show up.

Homework for Permission to Pursue

What are the next three micro-actions you can take to move the needle?

List them:

ONE _______

TWO ______

THREE _______

Do one each day. Do them one at a time or line them up in threes.

Next, find a phrase that takes you out of a critical mind and brings you back in the game. What can you say that connects you to your purpose?

Part 2: Permission To Be Convicted by Rha Goddess

In Part 1, Permission To Be Clear, we talked about clarity. We talked about vulnerability and our willingness to surrender from the center of what we want and give voice to what we want. We talked about all of the reasons why permission becomes so vital.

Now, Part 2 is about what really matters. Click Here to view the FB Live Video. We are talking about permission in the context of what is really important. The second permission is Permission To Be Convicted.

Permission To Be Convicted

I’m not talking about indicted and thrown in jail. This is about your principles and your values. This is an opportunity to look yourself squarely in the eye and ask, “what am I really willing to go to the wall for? What is really important to me?”

I want to get really precise about this conversation. People lay out a lot of go-tos when asked this question, such as “my children” or “my family,” which are all valid but external. I want to take you to another place. In the terms of your purpose and your calling, what it is that you believe you are here to do in the world, where are you convicted? What does it mean for you to be convicted around your purpose and your calling?

Give Yourself Permission To Be Convicted

I had a really profound conversation this week with a dear friend and colleague who just left a major position in a very prominent institution. One of the things that this person discovered was that, as they extracted themselves from the institution, and got out of the environment, they realized that there had been a buildup of incidents and the environment had become hostile. Lines had been crossed, their work had been undermined, personal dynamics with the leadership was beginning to get over the line.

Five or six years ago I woke up to this conversation about workplace trauma. I began to work with people who were in high paying, high profile, high accountability type jobs. People working 150 hours a week, etc. And one of the things that became a consistent theme or anthem in these conversations was the fact that it doesn’t often happen overnight. This winds up being a slow, little by little creep where you are compromising every day in what are “little ways” that wind up becoming big ways and you don’t even realize it. When people extract themselves from these situations, only then do they realize “Oh my god, I’ve been traumatized.” This often requires a significant time off for healing. This is consistent across the board. People aren’t even able to step into a new scenario because the nature of what they’ve experienced has been so severe. The heart of this conversation is reclamation. Reclamation of their mind, body and soul. The realization that somehow they had gotten away from their conviction is what begins the healing journey. They had moved away from the values or the moral compass had suffered.

These are the kind of conversations that have actually fueled my conviction and my commitment to supporting us in a new definition of success. This is really a new definition of power and the opportunity for a new kind of liberation and realization.

Ask Yourself Conviction Questions

Where are you convicted when it comes to what you believe your purpose and your calling is?

Where is the permission showing up for you or not showing up for you?

What’s fueling my conviction in this work is a new definition that I’m carrying for success. This definition enables me to be more loving and compassionate to myself and others. This definition enables me to work with people that I genuinely love, admire and respect. This definition allows me to stand for incredible financial prosperity while also standing for high-level impact. I’m dedicating my life to being able to redefine it for themselves. I want people to stand for their right to self-define in a world that wants us to settle for the status quo.

The biggest idea I’m interested in disrupting is that we have to trade in ways that are painful in order to be successful. I’m interested in you not being self-sacrificing. I’m interesting in intersecting and disrupting the idea of martyrdom in exchange for success. I don’t believe that that is success. I believe that’s something else.

Permission To Be Convicted Reflection and Homework

As I’m sharing about where I’m convicted, I want to invite you into this conversation. I’m curious about how we are really giving ourselves the permission to be who we are, in the truth of who we are? How much permission are we giving ourselves to be about what we say we’re about?

One of my team members shared that her heartbeat right now, her conviction, is:

Sharing the message

Sharing possibility

Moving away from the status quo

These are the things that came to the top of her mind. Think of your own:

___________________________________________________________

___________________________________________________________

It’s easy to give yourself permission when you’re in your living room. Your next point of reflection is: what are the areas where you need to give yourself permission to be convicted? In other words, where are the places you walk in the world and need permission?

My team member shared that, for her, it is being in an environment where her work is not taken seriously. In these moments, she has to commit to not waver and share without holding back.

For me (Rha), it’s permission to have my name. In all of the places I go and all of the myriad of reactions I’ve had over the past 20 years that I”ve been embodied in this name, I have to give myself permission and give myself permission to honor what that transformation meant for me. Choosing what you want to be called is a moment of self-actualization, culture and many other factors that require you to give yourself permission.

I’ve also had to give myself permission to be seen. I’m very comfortable in the back of the room and behind the scenes. I’m very comfortable holding other people up into the light. I’ve had to give myself permission to be me and be here in the light. I don’t have to look like or embody a lot of what I’ve seen in terms of what is heralded or acknowledged as the standard.

What about for you?

___________________________________________

Permission To Be Convicted Impacts Your Health and Well-Being

Our well-being often comes last. There’s a real habit of self neglect. In this conversation of permission to be convicted, this is about unapologetic devotion. This is being willing to love ourselves enough to be about what we’re about.

No matter whose house we’re in.

No matter what the leadership looks like.

No matter what people are doing.

This takes discipline and practice to exercise that muscle, especially when there’s little to no agreement.

Welcome to this permission.

It’s time to throw the gauntlet down.

Stand for your life.

Stand for your life’s work.

Honor your voice.

Tell the truth to yourself and others.

See the value and merit in being able and willing to do these things.

If you don’t stand for anything, you will fall for everything.

We are in a time when there is a lot of, dare I say, propaganda floating about. There are a lot of places to get hooked.

Our ability to be steadfast in our own wisdom, to be architects of our own clarity, is protected by this permission.

Defining Conviction and Keeping Your Promises

Once you get clear, you see all of that you’ve been tolerating or neglecting or not telling the truth. In this clarity (Permission Part 1), the true opportunity for ownership – in terms of conviction – shows up.

I want to lovingly challenge you all to declare what it is that you’re about and to stand in the center of that conviction. Move from that place.

Clarity puts you in a place of conviction. In that place there are promises. What does it take to keep those promises to yourself? I have to practice keeping my promises to myself every single day. It is one of the most difficult practices for me, because growing up I’d been conditioned to put everyone else first. When it comes to my promise to myself, I gotta work extra hard. I am on the court with this. Some days I hit it; some days I don’t.

How can this conversation be an opportunity for you to take it to the next level?

What are you willing to stand for?

What are you willing to fight for?

What are you willing to dream for?

These are the questions that live in the context of this second permission. What REALLY matters? Not what we pay lip service to but what really matters to you?

This is a courage conversation. What are you being called to have more courage for?

Even in the journey of our calling, there is an evolution. There will be times on the journey when you will be asked to pivot.

In the next conversation, Permission Part 3, we’re going to talk about going deep in that. Subscribe to this blog so you can be notified each time we add another Permission in this series. Follow Rha on FB to be notified when she’s going live with new content.

Veteran’s Day and Mental Health Awareness

Mental Health Awareness on Veteran’s Day

November 11, 2019 is Veteran’s Day… So, Happy Veteran’s Day!

This day represents a time to honor people who have worked to protect our freedoms. It can also be a time to increase our sensitivity and awareness of the mental health issues that can result from traumatic experiences. Military personnel are especially susceptible to this issue due to the nature of what they are exposed to in the course of duty. As a movement, Move the Crowd is passionate about honoring, acknowledging and assisting people through various kinds of mental health issues.

Move the Crowd is led by CEO and author of The Calling, Rha Goddess. Rha is passionate about helping people Stay True, Get Paid and Do Good. These three tenets are only attainable if you live in alignment. This means that every part of you is at peace and contributes to answering your highest calling. Rha addresses the process of finding peace through alignment in her new book, which is now available for pre-order.

Veteran Mental Health After PTSD

On this special and sensitive day, we want to offer some guidance around the idea of mental health, whether your challenges are the result of trauma, military service, veteran’s duties or anything else. It is important to understand that hope and healing are available to you. We invite you into this conversation about wellness.

PTSD and other mental health issues may look like:
Depression
Anxiety
Fearfulness
Restlessness
Anxiety disorders
Anger
Mood swings
Fatigue
Irritability
Illness or weakened immune system

If you find yourself struggling daily or are debilitated by a state of deteriorated mental health, it is vital that you reach out to your medical care provider. There are many treatment options for chronic mental health conditions. In addition to treatment, engaging with a community of like-minded people who are compassionate and ready to help can be a good component of recovery or wellness.

Rha Goddess at Spirit Junkie with Gabby Bernstein

Rha Goddess recently addressed a group of Spirit Junkies on the stage with Gabby Bernstein. Rha was Gabby’s soul coach and is credited with connecting Gabby to the concepts that led to her success. Rha shared some ideas with that group that can be immensely helpful for people struggling with mental health issues.

All Is Well – when you look at the external world – one could find a real challenge in believing this – there is a way that chaos, mayhem and danger swirl around us and provoke our deepest concerns and our greatest fears. The temptation to indulge is tremendous – overwhelming – we get activated at least 2-3 thousand times a day as we are bombarded with words and images that ignite disturbing thoughts and feelings – by the time the world is done with us – at the end of the day – it is hard to know where” it” stops and we begin. It’s hard to discern what is real vs what is manufactured – it’s all so vivid – and in the struggle to discern fact from fiction- is always the burning question- Am I safe?  Will I be okay? Will it be okay? Will we be okay?

Can we trust – that when all of the waking and shaking is done that any of us will come out on the other side? Unharmed and unscathed?  And while all of this is whipping around outside of us and all of this is swirling around inside of us – what the hell do we hold onto? And can we really afford the carnal damage that is definitely, prominently, being displayed on every device within our purview? The mass shootings – the fierce and unrelenting fires, hurricanes, tsunamis and tornados – the abusive structures of authority, the callous leadership, the never ending betrayal of public faith – Where in the hell is LOVE in the midst of all of this?  You might be asking?

When in moments like this the desire to control is real – people, places, circumstances, situations, relationships – all in response to the (powerlessness) we feel – somebody has to ensure that life goes according to plan and that somebody minds well be us!  Because we feel confident it our ability to wrestle life to the ground if for any reason we get off the rails. So, we remain alert and “on guard” – all of the time. We move from a fear based tactical place – believing that when it comes to what affects us we got it!

Where is Love you ask?

Underneath all of that noise…………

 – it’s quiet and pervasive-  like the breath –  and it’s everywhere  – it is the calm in the eye of the storm – it is the root that the havoc does not reach – it lives in the bottom of the well – and sends up the water – again and again – to cleanse, purge and rejuvenate your perspective.

It radiates from the center of your chest – when you smell your grandmother’s cooking – it generates the heat that moves up your spine when your beloved takes your hand – it flutters in your gut – when you hear – gurgles of joy from the lips of a newborn baby –

All is well – will ride out whatever bullshit we put in it’s path – it is the foundation –  that thing that brings you back to yourself – when the drama ends – over and over again.

Just take a BREATH – and feel that quiet radiant energy – underneath all of the noise…..

It is unshakable. It is the permanent inhalation and exhalation- the substance that 2nd chances and comeback stories are made of – can you see beyond the veil?  Beloved, can you see- everything and I do mean everything else is temporary? Can you BREATHE and find that subtle, vibrant and radiant energy within that holds the ground of universal truth – All is Well is LOVE- everlasting.

Voting Day 2019: Are You a Change Agent?

Today is the day to vote in many regional elections. November 6, 2019 is voting day and your vote counts. At Move the Crowd, we work with people in various arenas of business life and social justice. People who are passionate about using their vote to affect change take the responsibility to engage in society seriously.

We want to take this important day as an opportunity to guide you through some reflections. You are reading this because you are interested in impacting the world… in DOING GOOD. You are reading this because you are someone who is interested in leaving a legacy. Your personal interest and investment is probably higher than your peers.

Does My Vote Matter?

Voting rights and the right to vote are issues in play in our culture today. People who are deeply about voting equality are often the same people who vote carefully and thoughtfully. Our community at Move the Crowd is full of people who use their voice strategically in the public sector to create social change.

You may feel like…

You care MORE than most people

You SEE more than most people

You have a HUNGER to understand what is going on

You have a careful FRAMEWORK for assimilating the news

You see the OPPORTUNITY for change

Maybe most importantly…

You BELIEVE that change is possible.

And, it is. Because you are here. And you are awake. And you can be an agent of change.

How to Be an Agent of Change

Seeing yourself as someone who is making a difference in the world may require some identity adjustments and even paradigm shifts. But when you are in alignment, you are oriented to see all of your contributions as worthy. This leads to peace and success.

As an illustration, we will pose two questions and give examples of ways other people in the Move the Crowd community have answered them. Let this exercise encourage you to reflect meaningfully on the ways you make a difference and what barriers may stand in your way.

What are the top 10 reasons I don’t consider myself a change agent?

I’m not working myself to death 24/7 righting wrongs in the world
I don’t engage in a lot of political action (like rallies, letter writing campaigns, calling representatives)
I’m not angry all the time
I’m not loving all the time
I’m not like Paul Farmer
I enjoy eating well, having a decent standard of living. To be a change agent you have to be willing to suffer for your beliefs
I’m not well educated or well informed about everything
I haven’t started any petitions, organized rallies, participated in occupy wall street, made art about social or economic or environmental justice issues
I feel like there are so many people out there who do so much more than me, and I don’t count as a change agent compared to them
I often feel overwhelmed by all of the huge issues and injustices in the world.

What are the top 10 reasons I believe I am a change agent?

I do care about people, about economic, social, and environmental justice.
I’m working with Move the Crowd.
I engage in conversations around equality, racism, economic justice, social justice with a perspective of how I perpetuate the status quo vs. align who I am and what I do to break the cycles of inequality and injustice.
I so want to be a change agent that it scares me.
I have the intention of bringing mindfulness and love to all of my actions and interactions
I dream of a more loving, more just, more sustainable world.
I vote
I continuously put myself in situations that call forth my highest self, highest vision for the world, and ask me to look at how I can make a difference
I hold the intention to make a difference with my work, on a personal and societal level
I am changing the ways people engage with gender and dance through the ways I teach and organize dance

Some basic principles we hold at Move the Crowd about living into your purpose is that purpose can be profitable. You can make a living doing what you love. And what you want to do is good. We support people who are in it to win it… and who are passionate about doing good. Stepping into your calling is the only way to truly maximize your potential, make an impact and be fulfilled. Pre-order our CEO, Rha Goddess’s, new book The Calling now. You will get this amazing book as well as automatic inclusion into our Insider’s Club. This is a place to get exclusive content and plug into a vibrant community of people who are actively initiating change in their communities around the nation and around the world. Permission by Rha Goddess: Part 1

SPECIAL NOTE: This is Part 1 of a 5-part Series on Permission that is going to take us through the end of the year. I’m going LIVE with Permission Part 2 THIS WEEK, Tuesday, 11/5 at 6:00pm PT so mark your calendar!

You are worthy.

The conversation that we’re going to be engaging in through this permission series is all about worthiness. The conversation is all about a new level of liberation and love in the context of all of who you are and everything that you want to be creating in the world right now. I know who I’m talking to. You all are up to big things.

I have spent time encountering icons. Icons in terms of more than their social media following. Icons who are impacting their arenas of influence in our culture.

This conversation about permission is up. And I am on fire with it.

We all need permission.

Whether you…

Know it or not
Like it or not
See it or not
Own it or not

…you are always in some form of negotiation around whether or not you can be yourself, love yourself and answer your calling.

For some of us, we stay in the meta conversation of this. Meaning, we are in these big conversations about:

What does it mean to be myself?
What does it mean to love myself?
What does it mean to answer my calling?
What does it mean to fulfill my purpose?

This is the big, deep, philosophical consideration.

For others, it is moment by moment:

Am I going to be myself right now, or am I going to be whatever the environment can tolerate?

Am I going to honor myself in this interaction or am I going to do what everybody else expects me to do?

This conversation impacts whether you answer your calling and Calling.

Answering The Calling

That’s right, big c/little C:

Little “c” calling = Sometimes we get called in a particular moment, in a particular way.

Big “C” Calling = The conversation about what you are here to do and who you are here to be in the world.

Am I going to lean into where I’m being called or not?

Which of these conversations is for you?

Are you in the abstract and philosophical, contemplating your purpose and Calling?

Are you in the nit-grit, everyday, on-the-ground hustle of your calling?

Why Do We Need Permission?

There is so much conditioning and pressure to answer to what’s outside of you and what’s expected of you in any given environment. Sometimes, we are additionally conditioned to believe what we should expect from ourselves.

We are navigating the things that keep us:

Safe
Respectable
Appropriate
Successful

This ingrown, unconscious need for the NOD and approval drives us. Whether we are conscious of it or not, it is everywhere.

Illustration:

I had a conversation with a person with collaboration potential. This person is up to a lot in the world and there is a lot of opportunity but something in my spirit wasn’t excited about the possibility. And that’s deep because I’m someone who’s always excited. I’m excited all day long about something. I couldn’t put my finger on what it was but I just didn’t feel the inclination to lean in. At some point in the conversation, I began going through the motions.

I watched myself performing conditioned agreement that has nothing to do with how I felt. In these moments, we may or may not even be listening… we may be checked out.

We have built this masterful, conditioned way of responding.

In other words, we know how to fake it.

There was a minute or two where I was actually faking it in this conversation. I’m vigilant about not being fake, so I stopped myself and questioned these responses. I agreed to follow up. I know in a typical conversation like this how I would respond. I could not bring myself to send the e-mail. I got the meditation about it, I got still about it and I knew there was something there. If I wasn’t running toward this, I needed to get clear. The spirit said: be still. Make room. There’s something else coming. Don’t lean into this. And I heard it CLEARLY. I wrote it in my journal. Something coming. Not this. I proceeded to text my husband. I interrupted his flow and what he was doing (and he’s out in the wilderness in a yurt at this point) and he gets on the phone to sort me out about this thing that I’m confused about. So, I’m in this conversation with him and I’m saying all of these things and explaining what I see. And so, he says “trust what you know.” Affirmation.

I get on the phone three hours later with my coach. Same response. Listen. I know like I know like I know what this is. Here I am, in the land of permission seeking.

I’m sharing that with you because even in working on this series, I’m in it. The subsconscious seeking of it in the context of my life.

I had three bold moves to make as a result of those conversations.

When you’re on the practice field, the balls keep coming. You better put your net up and you better put your mask on. You are on the field.

The spirit knows you know and so the spirit makes you practice until mastery.

So, this first permission is ground zero. This whole conversation about permission is really about the next level.

The next level of:

Self-love
Self-liberation
Self-realization
Self-acceptance
Self-actualization

Permission is about being bold and unapologetic.

The Permission to Be Clear

This permission is about giving yourself room to get clear:

Clear about who we are
Clear about what we want

Be Clear About Who You Are

This is the permission to live into who you really are.

Who are you void of:

Titles
Accolades
Roles
Accomplishments
Company

Void of all of the boxes we usually check to describe and identify ourselves. These are the false places we go for identity. This is asking the question:

Who are you in the center of your soul?

What’s present in the world or possible in the world simply by virtue of the fact that you are there?

That is the question that you are asking when you ask, “who are you?”

What is it that you journey through, experience and come to understand on a soul level that makes you uniquely qualified to be you?

Who You Are Permission Homework:

Take a moment and jot it down:

Who are you?

Name three qualities:

ONE: _________________________________

TWO:_________________________________

THREE:_______________________________

On a scale of 1-10, how expressed are you in all of the parts of you?

Rate the three qualities you listed.

Based on your average self-assessment, ask yourself:

Does it shift in certain environments?
Does it shift with certain people?
Does it shift based on circumstances?

Reflection Questions:

Take the qualities you listed and your self-assessment about expression to journal with these reflection questions.

What specific aspects of yourself do you feel are most unwelcome?

Which parts of you come off the table first?

There is an opportunity in this question to listen inside to what else may be there that you aren’t giving a voice to. I want you to see this and notice this: notice where permission is present for you and where permission is not present for you. Where is the opportunity for your next level of clarity?

So, now let’s turn to the conversation about permission around what you want.

Police Fatally Shoot Black Woman in Fort Worth, Texas

Atatiana Jefferson is Shot and Killed by Police in Her Home

Last weekend, a 28 year old black woman was shot and killed while in her home in Fort Worth, Texas. An elderly neighbor was worried about her well-being and called the police on the non-emergency line. Police arrived at Atatiana Jefferson’s home, where she was playing video games with her eight year old nephew. Her nephew reports that she retrieved a handgun from her purse when she heard noises. He explains that she raised the gun, pointing it toward the window, when police fatally shot her. She was dead at the scene of the crime.

How does a welfare check turn into a fatal incident?

Community members and people throughout the nation are questioning many aspects of this incident, even as they grieve increasing incidents of gun violence. Interim police chief Ed Kraus in Fort Worth explains that the guilty person will be held responsible for this inexcusable act.

Texas law allows people the right to defend themselves in their own homes. This castle doctrine is closely aligned with stand-your-ground laws that allow people to defend themselves with firearms if they feel threatened. For some, like Jefferson, this law is usurped by police force and can have extreme consequences.

Black People and Police Violence

The Giffords Law Center collects research and resources about gun violence in the United States. According to them, 100 people a day die from gun violence. They also explain that black civilians – even unarmed – are five times more likely to be shot and killed by the police than white civilians. This dynamic has led to cultural movements like Black Lives Matter. This movement promotes awareness and initiatives around black issues, including violence, victimization and police accountability.

Black people and minorities in America have long had a disadvantage. Recovering from trauma of many kinds is an essential element to well-being. Move the Crowd is a movement spearheaded by a strong woman of color. CEO Rha Goddess has strong messages around recovery, coping and how to move past trauma. Join our community to receive a steady diet of these essential messages and connect with other people who are like-minded and passionate about affecting change.

Rha Goddess: Social Justice and Racial Equality

In an interview with The Trump Antidote, Rha Goddess explained that, at Move the Crowd:

We are deeply concerned about the current state of leadership, considering the most vulnerable populations and communities within the USA and beyond.  We are interested in helping to develop more empowered citizens, people who aspire to make their own brand of contribution and are willing to develop the internal and external capacity necessary to make that contribution.  We believe this is where genuine, transformative leadership is headed, back into the hands of everyday people who are passionate about caring for the triple bottom line of: people, planet and profit. To that end, we are also deeply concerned about the state of our economy from the perspective of who gets to thrive and who doesn’t.  Our fundamental aim is to help transform the culture of capitalism from its current state to one that is more just, accessible, and sustainable for us all. This is our mandate, one entrepreneur at a time.

Are you wondering where to turn in this challenging time, as you hear of yet another black life taken… another family impacted… and feel the rise of fear or concern?
