What Books Mean to Me

In my youth, books were my refuge from the real world. By immersing myself in the lives of fictional characters, I could briefly forget my own problems and the reality around me. Books offered shelter when real life felt overwhelming.
But they were more than just an escape. Books became a source of knowledge and human experience. Through them, I learned to understand people - their choices, mistakes, and inner conflicts - long before I encountered these realities firsthand.
I’m genuinely glad to see people returning to books today. Because books help us understand our own feelings, the feelings of others, life itself, and even the lives that existed long before us.
One important note: only good books can do this. Books with meaning. Stories that don’t simply entertain, but stay with you long after the last page.
