DeAnna Julie Dodson has always been an avid reader and a lover of storytelling, whether on the page, the screen or the stage. This, along with her keen interest in history and her Christian faith, shows in her tales of love, forgiveness and triumph over adversity. A fifth-generation Texan, she makes her home north of Dallas with four spoiled cats and, when not writing, spends her free time quilting, cross stitching and watching NHL hockey. Her first books, In Honor Bound, By Love Redeemed and To Grace Surrendered, are a trilogy of medieval romances and have just been redesigned and freshly edited for Kindle. She is also the author of the contemporary mystery, Letters in the Attic, and has recently signed on to write another Annie's Attic My ...more

It makes me so happy to know you're enjoying Drew and his friends. I have a wonderful time with them. Will there be more? I'm almost 100% sure there will be. However, my publisher hasn't told me they will be continuing the series, so I might be doing the books independently. If so, rest assured that Drew and Company will stay the same. I have ideas for at least four more books, so stay tuned. And bless you for your kind words. :)(less)

It's so nice to hear that you're enjoying Drew and his adventures. Yes, I am planning to write a seventh book in the series. I hope to get to at least ten, but that depends on all kinds of other factors, so I can't say exactly when it will be. But if Drew's fans want more, I'll do my best to make that happen. I love the series and have such fun writing it, I'd hate to stop. Thanks for your comment. God bless!(less)

A Husband for Christmas

A note from Gail:

When I considered starting a new series, I weighed ideas that caught my interest. Though I often write about small towns, I wanted to try something even more intimate and the idea of residence on the same street in a small town. I prefer using places I know, and though I had never been to Owosso, Michigan, which is a small town, I made arrangements to vis

ONCE UPON A COURTSHIP is a lovely collection of twelve short-and-sweet historical romances.
I got to pre-read Linore Rose Burkard's "Miss Spencer Meets Her Match," and it's a delight. Lots of concealed identities, hidden affections, and happy endings.

“It’s what my missus says. She says even God don’t make us come to Him if we’re dead set on living with swine, like the Good Book says about the prodigal son.”
Julianna Deering, Rules of Murder

“It’s as if the fragrance of the prayers of all those hundreds of years still lingers here in these stones and in these pews, saying God still bends down to hear and answer.”
Julianna Deering, Rules of Murder

“Any display of interest, I can assure you, Nicholas, has been manufactured by dear, sweet, acquisitive Mrs. Pomphrey-Hughes and no other. I'm sure she's a great reader of the classics and well aware of that 'truth universally acknowledged.' And knowing me to be single and in possession of a good fortune, who better to mend my most piteous want of a wife than her own daughter, Daphne?”
Julianna Deering, Rules of Murder

“Uncle Mason has been awfully good to me. My faith meant a great deal to me too after I was left an orphan,"
"I can understand how you felt." He looked up again, making his expression exaggeratedly sincere. "At the tender age of nine, I was left an orphan."
"You were not," she said with a giggle.
"I was," he insisted. "But, being so young, I hadn't a clue what to do with it, so I sent it back.”
Julianna Deering, Rules of Murder

“Dash it all, there should be more clues. There should be just acres of suspects and something like a hollowed-out table leg or uneaten biscuit that's the key to the whole thing. And there should be a mysterious Russian or a man with a false beard."
Nick sighed. "Not even a sinister Chinaman to suspect, more's the pity.”
