Writing Updates
I am thrilled to announce that Code Blue will be re-launched spring of 2021 by my new publisher Stormbird Press. They also have the sequel, Code Red and will be publishing that in 2021 as well!
In the meantime I am busy giving talks about the climate crisis to kids in grade 5 through high school and adults of all ages. I love the opportunity to talk with others, answer questions and learn from them!
I am just starting a first draft of a new YA eco-fiction novel tentatively titled Song Catcher and will keep you posted on the progress.
No live events planned as of yet but hoping to do some more soon

Updates on Code Blue – Writing Life
Wow! It’s still shocking to me that as a writer I would do not one, but two interviews this week. I am so grateful to Lisa McDonald and Lou Diamond for having me on their shows. Links will be posted as soon as they are available.
Reviews
Living a writer’s life I guess. I just got my first review back. Have to admit I was pretty nervous. In the end I am SO pleased with it![image error] Will put the link up to Midwest Book review is on -line now. Here’s an excerpt. I will try to put a link to the full review at the bottom of this page.
“Dystopian fiction comes and goes, and too many assume the trappings of formula productions; but the test of any superior story line lies in its ability to draw readers with powerful characterization and associations that lend to a reader’s emotional connections with events as they unfold. Code Blue holds a special ability to juxtapose both the bigger ecological picture with the microcosm of a young adult’s personal challenges as she moves through this world.”
Book Release
Code Blue will be released spring 2018! Pre-orders coming soon. Stay tuned for more details.
