"DNF: This has the most egregious grammatical errors I have ever seen in a Del Ray, Random House published book. The prose structure is shockingly poor.
I can't finish this book. It's just far too difficult to get over the terrible, terrible grammar. " Read more of this review » |

“In fact, "atheism" is a term that should not even exist. No one ever needs to identify himself as a "non-astrologer" or a "non-alchemist." We do not have words for people who doubt that Elvis is still alive or that aliens have traversed the galaxy only to molest ranchers and their cattle. Atheism is nothing more than the noises reasonable people make in the presence of unjustified religious beliefs.”

“I wish those people who write so glibly about this being a holy War, and the orators who talk so much about going on no matter how long the War lasts and what it may mean, could see a case--to say nothing of 10 cases--of mustard gas in its early stages--could see the poor things burnt and blistered all over with great mustard-coloured suppurating blisters, with blind eyes--sometimes temporally, sometimes permanently--all sticky and stuck together, and always fighting for breath, with voices a mere whisper, saying that their throats are closing and they know they will choke.”

Sorry to bother you but I’m in a bit of a bind and I’m hoping you can help. Well actually I know you can help, I just feel bad for asking. Back when 50 Shades or Manure was the hot topic I asked you for a couple of rec’s to show friends what a real & healthy BDSM relationship should be in fiction.
My problem is, it’s been a few years, I can’t remember what books you said were acceptable and I’ve gotten into another 50 Shades should be burned conversation.
Would you mind pointing me in the right direction again? I don’t care if it’s M/F, M/M, F/F or LGBTQ+ just as long as it doesn’t portray BDSM as abusive or has dangerous mistakes.
Thank you for any help you can offer.
Thank you for the friend request -- the timing was so funny, because I was looking at your profile page and considering doing the same. Great minds, I guess. :)
Finally saw your fic rec and picked it up at Amazon. Thanks! It looks entertaining, if nothing else. Heh.
Hopefully you see this right when you get up on the 4th! Happy Birthday! I hope you have a lovely day/year!!!!
I haven't read it yet but I thought this might interest you...http://www.neilgaiman.com/Cool_Stuff/...
Your Jizzmas wishes are the stuff of fantasies. Thank you & I hope your Holidays are filled w/the same.
Hi, Steelwhisper! Thanks for the frienship. I hope we'll have plenty of chances to share thoughts on our reads and mutual tastes. :)
Great! Thanks b/c I guess we can't friend authors anymore? Could you link to that update you referenced earlier, please?
Thanks. It felt like the right thing for me to do. I'm seeing it as a move to make me more productive as well.I am going to miss mle very much.
I did. Elspeth and I were talking, and I decided that as a person who has a pretty strong feelings about fandom, and fan fiction, and honest feedback I should put my money where my mouth is, and put mine up for honest feedback.

And hey, no problem. I also often happen to overlook posts and stumble across them later :) So at least you did so now.
I just now saw your message on my profile page from last November! Good grief, sorry, didn't mean to ignore you, but I didn't know it was there. I downloaded your book from Smashwords by the way, and thought it strange that it shows up in my Kindle with ME listed as the author. I've never had that happen before.
