Release Day For The Artifact Hunter!

Check out J.T. Lewis’ new NA Action/Adventure…The Artifact Hunter!

Release date: 11-28-13....Thanksgiving!

The Artifact Hunter by J.T. Lewis

“Secret societies, murder, and intrigue are just the start as the action starts rolling from the very first page in The Artifact Hunter!”

Finding an old yet infamous desk, Jesse Flanagan thinks he has died and gone to heaven when he also finds a mysterious old document hidden inside of it. Feeling like the luckiest man in the world, he turns to his old friend Abraham to have the items evaluated and put up for sale.
When he arrives at Abe’s shop the next morning however, he stumbles upon the gruesome sight of his friend…murdered!
Removing the items to his own warehouse, he can only assume that Abe has been killed during a robbery attempt until he suddenly finds his own life in peril!
Accidentally killing the man that was trying to kill him, Jesse must now go on the run as he tries to figure out who is after him…and why!

The find of a lifetime falls into Jesse's average life and turns it upside down. An adventure that spans generations keeps you on the edge of your seat with excitement! (K.R. Jordan)

Jesse Flanagan is a young, carefree antique dealer, enjoying both his entrepreneurship and making money. Confronted with the death of his friend, as well as an unsuccessful attempt on his own life, Jesse must suddenly throw himself into a life off the grid.
Hiding in an abandoned house, Jesse immerses himself in the case. Calling on some never-before-used skills that he has garnered from his library of action/adventure novels, he nevertheless hasn’t a clue as to what the killers are after…or even who they are.

Loved Jesse Flanagan, and a nod to the author for working himself into this story. Adored that touch. (Alexandrea Weis

The Artifact Hunter has a unique format as the reader follows both the current adventure, as well as glimpses into the path of the artifact as it travels through history.

The Artifact Hunter is set in both the past and the present and the story comes together in the middle before coming to its conclusion. I don't typically care for stories that flip back and forth, I often lose track of who is who, however, this one was well written and both storylines are interesting and captivating. In one half of the story we follow the journey of a dispatch from the American Revolution, in the other, we follow Antique dealer Jesse Flanagan and what happens when he happens across the same dispatch in an old desk. (Author Jenna Hodge)

The past and the present are dynamically weaved to keep you wanting more and more! (Author K.R. Jordan)

Reviews:

This is action/adventure story telling at it's best! I literally couldn't put it down. I highly recommend adding this to your TBR list, I promise you won't be sorry. JT Lewis has a flair for capturing your attention and drawing you into the story. Loved it!
Author Garden Summerland

J.T. Lewis pins us to the wall with this awesome action adventure novel! Your heart will beat fast and hard as the story starts in 5th gear and stays there! The past and the present are dynamically weaved to keep you wanting more and more! Jesse is an unassuming entrepreneur and his character is loveable and well developed. You will relate to his strong but vulnerable side.
You will be impressed by this intriguing and amped up suspense novel!!
Author K.R. Jordan

A real roller coaster ride, this is intricate story weaves the past and present into a spellbinding novel that will please any reader. Loaded with action and a little taste of history, we are taken on a journey through the American Revolution and end up in modern times where a mystery is uncovered. There is suspense, a lot of action, and a hero that you can cheer for. Loved Jesse Flanagan, and a nod to the author for working himself into this story. Adored that touch. You get drawn into the complexity of the storyline, and the way it is told is captivating. Well-written and fast-paced, The Artifact Hunter is a winner. Don’t miss out on this intriguing tale.

The Artifact Hunter

March 1777
New York Colony

The man in the red uniform glanced around nervously, noticing the horse’s breath freezing in wisps of mist in the early morning light.
The night had turned cold again, dropping down below freezing after the sunny spring weather of the previous day. Sergeant James Turner pulled his wrap tighter around himself, breathing his hot breath into his gloved fists to try to warm his frozen hands.
“Blimey! Will this trek never end?” he mumbled to himself for the hundredth time.
Turner’s old mare tripped suddenly on a frozen clod of soil. Tensing quickly, the Sergeant gripped his legs tightly around the horse as he pulled back on the reins.
“Whoa Gertrude…steady there old girl.”
Regaining control, Turner glanced to his right, shivering at the thought of dropping into the partially frozen bog beside him.
Blasted country! he thought angrily as he tapped his heels into Gertrude’s flank, getting her moving again. Although he was dreadfully cold, James Turner was thankful for the frozen ground below him, preferring it to the slimy mud of the previous day.
Ordered by his major to make his way north along the Swamp Road for this special mission, he quietly questioned the logic of the plan and the sanity of the officer. The major had calculated that he would be less likely to be observed in the swamp, but he had to know that this route would take three times as long to traverse.
Didn’t he?
Turner shrugged his shoulders while trying to get comfortable on the saddle. He hadn’t obtained the rank of sergeant by questioning his superior’s orders, but sometimes he wondered why he cared.
The pompous and elitist Royals and their clans ruled the Army by the mere fact of their lineage. It was a system that had been in place for centuries, and even God himself couldn’t seem to change that fact, Turner thought testily.
His thoughts turned to the colonies and the people that lived within. He now believed that the citizens of this country must be the most determined lot he had ever run across, and he was in awe of their fortitude.
They call themselves Americans, he reflected with a smile, and they had the bollocks to challenge the king himself!
And don’t forget about the land!
Discounting his current location of course, the abundance of the beautiful and fertile commodity was mindboggling!
When the news had hit that the colonials were seeking independence from the mother country, his whole regiment had laughed at the thought. They had been certain that a quick foray across the Atlantic would quickly squelch such a notion.
So far however, this expedition had been anything but short. Now Turner himself was starting to have second thoughts on the matter.
Maybe these backcountry hill climbers had something going on here after all!
Turner continued to reflect on the vast expanses of farmland that could be had for a fair price, something unheard of in England. He had also noticed the industriousness of the people in the cities, proudly starting their own businesses and working at them with a fervor that seemed lacking back home.
But the biggest implement of change in Turner’s thinking were the actions of his army’s officers themselves. The longer the regiment stayed in the colonies, the farther the commanders of his unit seemed to slide away from reality.
“The colonials wouldn’t fight according to the rules,” he had heard them exclaim more than once.
Used to a standard of living based on royal privilege and comfort, the officers were now spending months at a time in the field. Being this far from the palatial estates where they were raised seemed to be more than any of them had bargained for.
Turner suddenly stopped his horse to listen.
Hearing something off to his left, he quietly eyed the sparse vegetation around him. Years in the field had taught him that even the smallest noise could be a threat. After a few minutes of hearing or seeing nothing however, he nudged Gertrude forward along the thin path.
He dismissed the thoughts of his idiot officers as he let a smile draw on his lips. He realized that he could do much worse than making a home here in the colonies. Though they had been in the back of his mind for weeks, this was the first time that he had allowed these treasonous thoughts to come to the fore.
If he lived long enough to make it back home, he would put in for separation from his unit and begin drawing his meager pension. He definitely had enough time, and no one would fault him for getting out after serving with distinction in the Colonial War.
Sergeant James Turner grinned. For the first time in his life he had a reason to look past his time in the service of the king!
While lost in these joyous thoughts, Turner didn’t hear the faint noise to his left.
The click that should have alerted him to the danger of the rifle’s hammer being cocked was ignored. Nor did he notice the flash of the primer in the pan as the hammer came down into it and filled the air with light. The old horse took yet another step before the boom of the ignited gunpowder escaped the muzzle, the hot gasses propelling the lead ball into the side of Sergeant Turner’s head.
In those last fleeting moments, as he was sliding off of the side of the horse his thoughts didn’t linger on regret. Instead, his final thoughts were of the newfound joy he felt over his decision.
Quietly slipping into the bog, the lips retained the smile. The now eerie grin was all that remained of the newborn freedom that he had so recently claimed during the last seconds of his life.

***
Present Day

Jesse Flanagan was in high spirits as he pulled in front of the old shop.
The mysterious voicemail he had received from his cantankerous friend late last night sounded promising, if not a bit cryptic.
Come down to de shop in the mornink me boy, I do believe aw have some good noos for you on both counts! I keep your package safe, heya in my shawp overnight, buried under Atlantic Avenuse.
Abraham always reverted to a weird combination of Hebrew- and New York-accented English when he was excited, but good noos in this business almost always meant good money. The cryptic reference to Atlantic Avenue still had Jesse stumped, however.
Jesse shrugged his shoulders. He usually dismissed most of Abraham’s rantings as a rule of thumb anyway. His friend’s advancing age combined with the large portion of time that he had spent alone had left Abraham Kohen more quirky than normal.
But Jesse had indeed left a package with Abe the previous day to see if the old man could come up with a value for two items of interest. One was an old document, the other a picture of a desk.
The aging Jewish antique dealer loved doing that kind of thing, plus he had a lot more patience than Jesse could ever muster for it.
Of course, Jesse paid him well for his valuations, as nobody did anything for free in this business. Truth be known however, that wasn’t the only reason he continued to bring work to the old man. Over the years, Jesse had actually come to truly like the cantankerous old man, seeing him as the closest thing to a father figure that he had ever had.
Humming happily as he turned off the van, Jesse unfolded his 5’10” frame out the driver’s door and made his way around the front of the truck. Flexing his lean muscles as he walked in an attempt to overcome the previous hour’s drive, Jesse saw something that caused him to stop in his tracks.
A small, jagged hole in the shop’s front door glass put him instantly on alert. Looking up and down the sidewalk to make sure he wasn’t being observed, he then crossed the sidewalk and slowly pushed inside the shop.
The place was a mess!
“Somebody’s cleaned him out,” Jesse exclaimed under his breath, knowing that it was but one of the many plagues of big city life.
Shrugging again, he called out to his friend.
“How bad of a hurt did they put on you, Abe?” he yelled as he walked farther into the front room of the store. Glancing around, he saw that several of Abe’s antiques had been severely damaged.
He was never going to hear the end of Abe’s ranting now!
“Hey Abraham! Where ya at, you cantankerous old sot? We already agreed on a price for the valuation you know, so don’t be expecting a bonus just because someone broke up all of your stuff!”
Although spoken with a smile, Jesse was beginning to get a little worried as he continued to walk through the front part of the severely damaged store. Having scoped out the whole of the shop, he decided to head to the rear of the store.
“You hiding out back here?” Jesse called out before making his way through the old fabric that Abe used as a door to the back room.
“Don’t be hitting me with that old baseball bat of yours either!”
He was laughing as he spoke this, but as the curtains dropped away from his face he almost lost his breakfast at the sight before him. Sitting on a stool in front of him sat Abe with his shirt covered in blood!
“Abe!” Jesse shouted as he moved quickly toward the old man. Laying his finger on the cold, dead neck of the man, he then realized Abraham was many hours past hearing him.
Jesse jumped back quickly with the frightening realization that he had touched a dead body.
It was his first.
“Aw Jesus, Abe,” he whispered softly as he backed away slowly, “Who’d ya piss off this time?”

Pepper And Longstreet Is A Finalist!

Pepper and Longstreet is a finalist in the Readers Favorite Award Contest in the Young Adult Mystery Category!

Pepper and Longstreet ~ The Complete Series

Award Contest Winners

As you can imagine, we are quite pleased with this outcome, being selected as a finalist in this contest is a big deal! Both Pepper Jones and Jacob Longstreet are very nervous about the outcome!

Here's what Reader's Favorite has to say about becoming a finalist in their contest!

If you were chosen as a finalist then congratulations! It was an extremely competitive year and your selection was hard earned. You are now authorized to let others know you are a Readers' Favorite Award Finalist and you can use our finalist seal on your website, Facebook page, or on any other website or media you see fit.
This was our largest contest ever and competition was fierce.

Here's what Lee Ashford of Reader's Favorite had to say:

The Pepper and Longstreet Mysteries (Complete Series) by J.T. Lewis contains every episode of the series. Very similar to "The Hardy Boys" and "Nancy Drew" familiar to us considered "Boomers", Pepper Jones is a 14 year old High School student who has been successful - and lucky - at solving a number of mysteries around her home town.

She has the very helpful assisatance of a Civil War era ghost by the name of Jacob Longstreet, who happens to be invisible to everyone except Pepper; that fact gives her a decided advantage at times when working on the case.
These stories aren't just reminiscent of "The Hardy Boys" and "Nancy Drew"; they are every bit as well written, engaging, and fun to read. J.T. Lewis writes youth mysteries on par with these two legendary series.

Although it is classified as a young adult fiction, I can personally testify that old adults too will enjoy these stories. The author has found his niche, and has the talent to excel in this genre. His characters are as real as your next door neighbor, with a touch of the paranormal thrown in just for fun.

The awards will be announced September 1st, so keep your fingers crossed that Pepper Jones will need a new gown come September. I'm sure Jacob Longstreet will opt for merely cleaning his well-worn uniform! :D

Yolanda (The Miel Chronicles) by J.T. Lewis

Check out the first in the series! The Miel Chronicles is a collaborative effort between authors to bring readers a series of thought-provoking fantasy stories! Yolanda, the first story is coauthored by K.R. Jordan

Mythos

The workings of heaven are shrouded in mystery and myth, leaving us to only theorize as to what awaits us when we pass.
Generally speaking, we like to think that we all fall into two distinct groups: those that live a good life and go to heaven, and those that don’t and are destined for another realm.
There are those among us however, that are special cases.
These are good people that have committed a horrendous crime, such as murder.
What makes their cases special however, is the fact that by committing these egregious acts, one could argue that they have made the world a better place.
The premise of The Miel Chronicles is that there is a heavenly court that is forced to consider these special cases, holding in their collective hands the fate of the souls that come before them.
Three archangels make up the Court of Souls, but only one among them recognizes that these souls cannot be judged on just the outward facts.
He alone will take it upon himself to dig into the sordid details surrounding the crimes in question. But he is a busy entity, and unable to traverse the world in search of evidence.
Miel, a lowly angel that can walk among us, travels the world in his stead. Tasked as an investigator by the archangel, her job is to gather facts. But more than that, she must capture the emotions that led to the act in question, as well as any evidence of repentance.
It is this recording of emotions in the Journal of Souls that will ultimately clear, or convict the soul.
These are the journeys of Miel, the Keeper of the journal.

The Second Young Gabriel Celtic Adventure is Here!

The Abandoned Mine!

The Adventures of Young Gabriel Celtic ~ The Abandoned Mine by J.T. Lewis

The Adventures of Young Gabriel Celtic is a Middle Grade series that focuses on the misadventures of Gabriel Celtic as a youngster. Always inquisitive, he follows his intuition in search of mystery and adventure. Unfortunately, things don't always turn out quite like he planned:

The bike hit the ridge going too fast, sending it high into the air as the path on Nugget Hill dropped down quickly below it.
The dark-haired boy riding the bicycle gripped the handlebars tightly, squeezing his eyes tightly shut until he and the bike came crashing down onto the path in a tangle of steel and flesh.
Bouncing once, the bicycle flipped front over back, dumping the boy into the middle of a blackberry bush, the thorns tearing at the exposed flesh of his arms as it broke his fall.
When he came to a halt, he was staring at the sky, confused. Tears were threatening to escape his eyes, adding to the sweat already streaking down his dirty face.
Suddenly remembering what had happened earlier, he rolled out of the bush and ran over to his bike. Nervously, he jumped on and started peddling, relieved that it still rolled when he pushed the pedal down.
Pushing himself once again to exhaustion, the sweat flew off of the curly matted hair now plastered to his face from the exertion, the rivulets of sweat running through the thick dust on his face giving him a ghoulish look.
He had never been so tired…or so scared.
Screeching to a stop in front of the house, he jumped off of the bike and took off for the porch at a run. Seeing the older man on the porch smoking a cigar, he let out a loud “GRAMPS!”
Surprised at the intrusion to his thoughts, the older gentleman glanced to his left, seeing a boy running towards him with dirty hair and blood trickling down his arms.
“G-g-g-g-gramps! It-t-t’s m-m-me….J-j-jim-my,” the boy panted out.
Gabriel Celtic Senior would have known that stuttering anywhere.
“Jimmy?” the old man ran to meet the approaching apparition, “What’s happened to you son?”
“G-g-gabe…” he sputtered, trying to catch his breath.
“Gabe? What about Gabe Jimmy?”
“Old…m-m-m-mine.”
Gabriel senior’s heart skipped a beat at the mention of the old mine.
“What about the old mine Jimmy?” he said as he grabbed the young man’s shoulders anxiously, “What are you trying to say?”
“C-c-cave….C-c-cave in!”
“Cave in? Jimmy….where’s Gabe?”
“H-h-h-he’s….inside!”

A Death That Made A Difference

My third novel comes out soon, it's called, In Case of Death.

I came up with the title over a year ago, thinking it was very classy and very pertinent to my story line.

Little did I know how personal the title would become to me...

You see, one of my sons took his life during the writing of this novel...and it of course changed the way I looked at things.

I thought about quitting...I thought about throwing the book in the trash...I thought about a lot of things...

Although I did quit writing on it for a few months, I started to feel a nagging at my soul to finish it...and I think it was my son that was doing the nagging.

Tristan was never one to leave something alone!

As it ended up, I believe he helped me finish the story, and I dedicated this book to his memory...as well as his nagging.

Here is the dedication to In Case of Death:
Dedication

I would like to dedicate this book to my son, Tristan Lewis, who took his life during the writing of this story. While I work at living in a world of fiction,he could never find a reality that suited him. The chemical balance that determines in all of us if we are considered ‘normal’ never quite balanced with him, and he could simply not live with that reality any longer.
To say that his passing has changed me would be an understatement. For one, the writing of this novel ceased for at least three months as I fought a conflict within myself over the importance of creating entertaining fiction versus that of the loss of a loved one.
How important could it be anyway? Tristan didn’t even like to read!
Months later, when I finally let myself read through what I had already written, it struck me that he would have loved the story if it had been a movie.
He would have declared it AWESOME!
So I started writing again, though with a renewed purpose. Even though finishing the book would not bring back my son, I felt the need to finish the story once again…for him! With Tristan now looking over my shoulder, we breezed through the evolving mystery and action sequences until we had a story worthy of a movie for him.
Even though I still miss him every day, bringing this book to a conclusion has in many ways, helped me to heal. And as I picture him sitting down to finally watch the movie that played out in my head, a snack and a beer beside him, I see him clicking the remote and leaning back with a smile.
“This is gonna be AWESOME!”

Prologue

March 5, 1999 Cairo, Egypt

The American reached into his pocket and dug out some Piasters to pay for his purchase. Handing over the coins in exchange for the sack from the robed woman, he quickly popped one of the sweet dates into his mouth. Crumbling the bag closed once again, he slipped it into his oversized safari vest pocket as he continued walking through the bazaar.
He loved this place.
He made sure that he always had one morning open on his monthly trips to Cairo to visit his Khan Al-Khalili. The deals he could make here seemed to satisfy his seldom used negotiating skills like nowhere back home. Every transaction was a new negotiation here; he was just another customer to these people.
He was very good at his job, and although a senior manager in his department, Petroleum Engineering no longer held his interest like it did when he was younger. Thirty years with basically the same job at the same company had left him yearning for retirement.
He considered this as he paid for yet another purchase, a hard-fought negotiation for a brightly colored stuffed parrot for his new granddaughter. He hadn’t even laid eyes on her yet, as she had been born while he was on the plane during the trip over.
“It won’t be long now,” he thought to himself.
He had made the final arrangements before leaving on this trip. In six months he would be taking early retirement. He was looking forward to it with excitement. His wife and he would travel the world, enjoying time together as he tried to make up for the years apart that his job had demanded.
And now that the grandkids were starting to appear, they would have time for extended visits to their boys and their families. His mouth spread slowly at the thought. He was certain that his wife was looking forward to that part of retirement more than the travel.
A sudden prick in his back brought his mind back to the present.
“What the hell is that?” he thought as he reached behind himself, feeling a short piece of hard plastic sticking out of his vest.
Confused, he pulled his hand back and was shocked to see it covered in blood. As he stared at his blood covered fingers, he noticed his vision closing in, blackness forming around the edges of his sight as it worked its way quickly toward the center.
“Shit!” was all he could mutter before collapsing onto the dusty path next to one of the booths. As he stared out of near sightless eyes, he could feel the life draining out of him as it spilled onto the path.
With his last labored breath, he exhaled the word that was his final thought on this earth…“May”
***
A small monkey, the pet of the owner of the nearest booth, sniffed the air and jumped from the counter to the back of the now dead body. Chattering away, he reached deftly into the man’s vest pocket and pulled out the bag of dates.
Sitting comfortably on the back of the man, the little animal quickly bit into one of the sweet fruits. Holding up the half eaten piece like a trophy, the monkey let out a loud string of chatter, jumping up and down with excitement.
The passing shoppers all smiled as they watched the antics of the little animal, stepping carefully around the pool of blood so as to not get any of it on their feet.
Stories of the funny monkey’s frolics would be the highlight of many of the bazaar’s patrons that night.

“Go ahead Mr. Celtic.”
“Why are you calling collect dad.” GB said smiling. “Did your car break down?”
Silence
“Dad…?”
“Gabe?” GB asked excitedly at the sound of his son’s voice. “Where are you? I thought you were at Jimmy’s house?”
“I’m at the airport…in Mount Pleasant.”
“WHAT? That’s a hundred miles from here!”
“Yeah…I kinda got my tail in a wringer here. Can you come pick me up?”

Release of Riftglade by K.R. Jordan

(In response to the release of this book on the 15th, I am re-running this author interview from November)

Riftglade by K.R. Jordan

K.R. Jordan announces her first solo release...Riftglade!

I have known K.R. (River) for a number of years now, and I have to say that there is one thing that always intrigued me about her writing style...

Her ability to create new and amazing worlds!

Riftglade is but the latest example of her abilities. As I write my stories, I am constantly trying to weave mystery and adventure into our everyday world. Even with my few forays into sci-fi, the universe I am dealing with will basically be a different version of our own.

I am humbled at the thought of creating a completely different universe...and yet K.R. Jordan seems to do it effortlessly, while making her characters both believable and very REAL!

Here's a synopsis of the story!

The beautiful fairy, Princess Yaliza, is forced to leave her beloved kingdom to find her true destiny. Flying above an Overland rift forest, she is gravely wounded, falling unconscious to the ground and into Riftglade where her adventure begins!

Although this is her first solo offering, Riftglade is far from K.R.'s first published story

Her story Leela has been included in the Vamptasy Publishing's anthology Red Wine with much acclaim: (Orphaned at a young age, Leela is raised by Halo, her father's best-friend and trained as a warrior to fight against the evil Sifters.)

Crushing Hearts and Black Butterfly's (CHBB's) anthology Dark Light, also contains her story Alba: (After graduation, young Alba moves to Maryland to go to college where she discovers the devious machinations of a power hungry young man.)

She has also contributed to Blue Fire Heat by Scott Prussing as a co-author with her story Sweet Enchantment : (Rave and Leesa have been in love forever but cannot express that love like normal teenagers would. Tonight, while she dreams, they will consummate their love.)

K.R. Jordan grew up on the Gulf Coast of Texas and spent most of her youth in, on or near the water.

Her father was a fisherman that always had a Louis L'amour paperback in his back pocket, while her mother would read anything and everything she could get her hands on.

K.R.'s own personal love of reading and writing began at a very young age. She would spend hours at the local library checking out as many books as they would allow.

She writes under the names K.R. Jordan or River Jordan. Writing mostly fiction, she is also obsessed with writing a personal history of her family.
Still living on the Gulf Coast of Texas with her family, she enjoys writing, reading, fishing and the great outdoors!

I have asked K.R. to include a small narrative about her story...

The sky is absolute black, thick clouds obscuring any starlight. Other than the occasional whomp of snow laden branches releasing their heavy tenants, the midnight is silent.

On a clear night, the iced countryside of Overland shimmers in deep dark purples as it absorbs the light from the stars overhead. But this night, everything is dark as onyx; the occasional gloomy twinkle playing peek-a-boo with the eventide.

The currents of the atmosphere sense a disturbance, shifting and shivering as if in expectation of some cyclopean storm. Intruding in the peaceful song of the frozen ebony sleep comes a sweet, but perplexing hum.

At once it is as if the things of nature recognize the color of the exciting hum. The snow covered hills begin to glow warmly, a rhapsody of inner light coating the frozen tundra. In moments the air snaps to attention, exuding the scent of ancient virgin forests untouched by fae. A mix of pine, cedar and oak, fighting to dominate, release their heady perfume into the ozone.

An obscurity of bright and colorful streaks stream from over the mountains miles away. Red blending into purple; purple blending into indigo; indigo into pink evinces a masterpiece of surrealism.

If you stopped time in that instant before the ancient one was impelled by the Realm of Clouds to reach out and taste fate, you would see an amazing sight. If you hovered in the face of the masterpiece of light and color, you would behold the sorrowful expression of an exquisite fairy. Long red hair flowed out behind her as she flies. Drawing your attention would be the reddest lips and the most beautiful blue eyes. Rimming those eyes, which are at once clear and open but deep and dark as well, were the darkest lashes. The whisper of a crystalline tear hovered at the edges of those nymph eyes; the tears stretching out with the speed at which she flew.

This paragon of beauty is Princess Yaliza, daughter of Vodianyk, High King of All You See.

Come and join Princess Yaliza on her adventure in Riftglade by K.R. Jordan.*

Review of Disarming by Alexia Purdy

I am in love with April!

But then, I think everybody is in love with April in Disarming!

The second installment of Alexia’s Reign of Blood series is definitely worth the wait! Although her world has grown more complicated, with additional factions and hybrid mutations than she ever knew existed, she continues to make her way through the new reality with her unique style and bravery.

But her world is also coming apart at the seams, and her family’s position is becoming perilous!

Through it all though, April fills the role as leader, negotiator, and friend.

The twists and turns of this chapter of her story invigorated me! It’s like every time I turned the page I was amazed by what I was confronted with next!

There really is no better series for fans of Urban Fiction, Action/Adventure, Paranormal or Fantasy.

Repeating my original opinion of Reign of Blood, as well as now with the whole series: It truly has no genre…except AWESOME!

5-Stars!

J.T. Lewis

I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.
