From author's website: "I am a native of Potter County in north central Pennsylvania which is still the wildest part of the Commonwealth. The wooded Allegheny Mountains have been my spiritual haven from an early age. The sun filtering down through tall trees to the pine-needle floor, the scent of hemlock, and the murmur of rock-filled mountain streams spell home to me.

I was born in Austin, Pa. A thriving boom town of 3,000 in the early 1900s, the hamlet is now the home of some 600 residents, who have built a wonderful repository of historical items. The Austin Historical Society and the E.O. Austin museum tells the story of Austin’s early days, most notably its logging history and the dam break of 1911. My father, Sam Costa, then 4, was one

Patricia Costa Viglucci Everything! With the exception of the pay. But the great satisfaction in researching, writing and rewriting umpteen times, makes up for it.

Reading Regrets

When A.J., my oldest grandson began reading the first of the Harry Potter books, he literally begged me to read them, too.
Seldom a fan of fantasy (because real life stories can’t be eclipsed) I begged off.
It is one of the big regrets of my life that I didn’t immediately plow into what was giving him so much pleasure.
What the eight-year-old wanted, of course, was to discuss the fine points, qui Read more of this blog post »

Patricia Costa Viglucci Goodreads (with Amazon) has the unhappy practice of posting any light romances I download. Unfortunately I never get to most of them and I seldom finish those I do. Too many are first efforts or seem to be. Please, Amazon, cease and desist this invasion of privacy. If I could figure out again how to add books I've enjoyed would list with pleasure Elizabeth Strout's books which I've borrowed from library. (Can't afford prices.) In the order which I've read and loved Strout's books: 'Olive Kitteridge,' 'Burgess Boys' 'Abide With Me'
and am currently reading 'Amy and Isabelle.' Strout is an extraordinary talent.

Patricia Costa Viglucci I am so happy with my new cover for my light romance "The Connecticut Cowboy and the Runaway Bride." The story opens on the famed Via Veneto in Rome but quickly moves to enchanting Portofino on the Italian Riviera. Years ago my husband and I with our three children visited Portofino but because we were traveling by car never were able to get a classic shot from the sea perspective. Voila! Our older daughter, Johanna, recently returned from a soccer trip with her two younger sons, Riley and Quinn with the view I wanted. From Genoa, she'd taken a ferry to capture Portofino on the Ligurian coast with all of its magic. Then her older son, Austin, designed a new cover for the book. Take a look at Amazon.com. Don't have the new cover up on Goodreads yet.

Patricia Costa Viglucci For those readers who wanted to read and review any of my books, I sent copies from my computer. To my great chagrin I learned that when they transferred them to their kindles or other ereaders, the books were badly mangled, garbled,or otherwise flawed. SOOO, for anyone requesting one of my books to read and review, I will now send a gift copy from Amazon.com. Am still looking for reviews for any of my light romances, particularly the most recent, "The Troubleman." Also: "Jordan's Island" AND "The Connecticut Cowboy and the Runaway Bride." Email me at Viglucci1@gmail.com
for a review copy.

Patricia Costa Viglucci I am looking for reviews for "Beware the Ghost Riders!" free today. Reviewers must be 13 yeas old, I believe.

Patricia Costa Viglucci Should have added that I read light romances before bed. Anything serious, dramatic has me up until the wee hours as I can't easily forget it. Recently read, Bev Petterson's "Color My Horse," a romantic suspense which I discussed in my blog, www.Patriciacostaviglucci.com.

Patricia Costa Viglucci Reading, reading. "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks," and "Cutting For Stone." Yes, I'm a couple of years behind, but now will not be swayed by reviews, comments, recommendations. Interesting that the non-fiction reads like fiction at times, the fiction just the reverse. Both are gripping.

Patricia Costa Viglucci My last name, Viglucci, seems to have been deleted in posts. Afraid anyone trying to find my books by searching my last name will be left hanging. Not sure how to correct this.

Patricia Costa Viglucci If anyone has emailed me requesting one of my books for review or any other reason, please try again. My mailbox was full and several messages yesterday and today were bounced. Am very grateful for all the great reviews posted. Thanks so much.

Patricia Costa Viglucci Again, in exchange for reviews, I will happily email any of my books to readers. I have a list of my other published works which I am hoping to convert soon to ebooks.
