I met a lady at Costco and convinced her to read Copernicus.

I just wanted to let you know that both my son and I poured through your book in record time – he’s 13 and read it in 2 days. I started it yesterday morning and finished it yesterday evening (and worked a full day!). It was a great story – very entertaining and fun to read. We both enjoyed it immensely – it was quick, witty, fun and easy to read. I had trouble putting it down and was left looking forward to any potential sequel you may come up with! A prequel would be great too – some of Nick’s history you explored could be expanded easily into their own stories. My only critique suggestion was that it felt like a quick jump to the kidnapper being the pediatrician – that could have been expanded just a bit. Otherwise, I love the quiet do-gooder with his ghost mom as his conscience!



I will definitely be recommending it to my friends. I look forward to reading more of your work in the future.

On with the struggle to become a best seller. Some number of people, I suspect a few hundred, have bought the book. We need all of those to read it and recommend it to a multiple of that number.

I was in Costco today. I saw a lady pick up my book and I said "If you buy that I'll sign it for you." She had a stupefied look and after a moment asked if I were the author. I admitted it and she said of course she would buy it.

I think I'll hand around the Costco book table more often.

A friend reported yesterday that Costco had 4 stacks of Copernicus on the table. The wife and I went to her favorite branch and didn't find any. We went to mine, which is the one the friend had been to and indeed they were there.

Hopefully they will make it to all branches. Feel free to message me with sightings.

Friends have reported the receipt of books they've ordered. You'd better buy now if you want one of the first printing.

Friday I got my personal shipment of books. I sure Amazon and others will be shipping shortly if not already. If you've been waiting to buy, don't.

My book "The Secret Life of Copernicus H. Stringfellow" is supposed to be going to press today. Meanwhile I sit here with a job in the mailroom of a large company waiting to begin earning a living as a writer.
