What To Do When You Feel Behind in Life or Business
Ever scroll through Instagram and think, “Wow, everyone else is miles ahead of me?”
You’re not imagining it - you’re comparing your behind-the-scenes to someone else’s highlight reel.
And that’s one of the fastest ways to block abundance.
Here’s what to remember when that “I’m falling behind” energy creeps in:
You’re not late.
There’s no timeline for success.
You can’t miss what’s meant for you — it might just be arriving differently or later than you expected.
Every season has its purpose. Some are for planting, others for resting.
Trust that yours is unfolding perfectly, even if it doesn’t look like progress yet.
Comparison is information, not judgment.
When you feel jealous or envious, it’s not a bad thing — it’s guidance.
It’s your intuition showing you what’s possible for you, too.
Ask yourself: “What part of their success feels exciting?”
Then, “What would my version of that look like?”
Let it inspire action, not shame.
Tiny progress still counts.
We often underestimate what’s shifting behind the scenes.
A single mindset tweak, one honest conversation, or one boundary set can create huge ripple effects later.
So celebrate every micro-win — even sending an invoice or cleaning your inbox.

How to Manifest When You’re Stressed or Burnt Out
Let’s be honest: it’s hard to feel abundant when you’re exhausted.
When you’re running on fumes, the idea of “raising your vibration” feels impossible.
But you don’t need to be high-vibe, perfectly positive, or have a color-coded dream board to manifest.
You just need to start where you are.
Here’s how to do that - gently.
Stop pushing through.
When your nervous system is fried, your creative energy - your manifesting power - can’t flow.
You can’t call in new opportunities from burnout.
You can’t magnetize abundance while silently screaming, “I can’t do this anymore.”
So pause. Breathe. Take one thing off your plate today.
Rest is not a reward - it’s part of the work.
Lower the bar (on purpose).
If you’re in a stress spiral, don’t aim for “miraculous.”
Aim for “manageable.”
Do something easy and symbolic to re-engage your energy.
Maybe it’s decluttering your desk, tracking a single win, or saying one affirmation.
Manifesting isn’t about big, dramatic gestures.
It’s the accumulation of small, aligned actions.
Reconnect to gratitude - even for tiny things.
It sounds cliché, but gratitude rebalances everything.
When I’m burnt out, I grab a notebook and write:
“I’m grateful for my dogs.”
“I’m grateful for the roof over my head.”
“I’m grateful that I get to rest.”
Within minutes, your energy softens. And that softness is where the magic happens.
You can’t manifest from exhaustion.
You can manifest from peace.
And peace starts with giving yourself permission to stop hustling and start receiving.

Did the board make it happen? Not exactly. But it trained my brain to notice opportunities and normalize those dreams as my “real life.”

Sometimes success looks like magic. I once said, “There’s always more money,” and minutes later, money literally rained down on my car.
But more often, success comes from consistent action: showing up, launching imperfectly, believing just enough to take the next step.
Dreaming is free. Acting makes it real.

Are You Sending Mixed Messages to the Universe?
You say you want more clients, but secretly feel relieved when someone cancels.
You say you want more money, but never open your bank account.
You say you want freedom, but fill your calendar until there’s no space to breathe.
Sound familiar?
You’re not flaky - you’re just human. But these little contradictions send very confusing signals to the Universe.
Manifesting works like tuning a radio. If you’re playing one station in your head (“I want abundance!”) and another in your actions (“I’m too scared to ask for it”), you’ll get static - mixed results, half-manifestations, or nothing at all.
Here’s how to clear up your signal so the Universe actually knows what you want:
Get honest about what you’re really asking for.
Sometimes we think we want a goal… but what we actually crave is how we think that goal will make us feel.
You might not really want “six figures.” You might want security, ease, or recognition.
You might not want “more clients.” You might want the right clients - people who respect your boundaries.
👉 Ask yourself: “What do I really want to feel?”
That answer will give you more clarity than any spreadsheet ever could.
Take one action that matches your new clarity.
Manifesting doesn’t require perfection — but it does require consistency.
Once you know what you want, do something tiny that says I mean it.
Send that invoice.
Say no to a lowball offer.
Clean out your wallet.
Every clear action strengthens your signal.
Stop apologizing for what you want.
There’s no gold star for staying small.
You’re allowed to want more, period.
Your desire isn’t greedy — it’s guidance.
It’s your next step whispering: “Hey, over here.”
So speak your goals out loud. Write them down.
Be proud to ask for what you want - because when you do, the Universe finally knows what to deliver.
You don’t have to have it all figured out.
Just start sending a clearer message, and watch how fast things begin to shift.

You’re doing “all the right things.” You’re visualizing, journaling, saying the affirmations — but your goals still feel far away.
You’re not doing it wrong. You’re just human — and sometimes, your energy, clarity, or focus gets a little out of sync.
When that happens, it’s time for a gentle reset — not a full restart.
Here’s how to bring your energy (and results) back into alignment:
1. Reconnect with your why.
If you’ve been at this for a while, it’s easy to forget why you wanted your goal in the first place.
Maybe it was freedom, ease, peace, or security — but the stress of “making it happen” took over.
👉 Take five minutes to write down what this goal really means to you and how it will feel when it’s real.
That emotional clarity is what reignites your magnetism.
2. Check your alignment.
Manifesting is like tuning a radio — if your signal’s fuzzy, the music doesn’t come through.
You say you want more clients, but secretly feel exhausted at the thought.
You say you want more money, but feel guilty asking for it.
Those little energetic contradictions slow everything down.
👉 Choose one simple action that aligns your energy and intention — raise one price, say no to a draining request, or follow up on that opportunity you’ve been avoiding.
3. Let go of the “try harder” energy.
Manifesting doesn’t work when we grip it too tightly.
It’s not about micromanaging the Universe — it’s about trusting the process while staying in motion.
👉 Try this: Do one inspired action and then go live your life — take a walk, clean your desk, dance to your favorite song.
You’ll be amazed how often results show up once you loosen your grip.
When your manifesting feels flat, it’s not a sign to quit — it’s a sign to refocus on clarity, belief, and small daily steps.

How to manifest your dream life: Two easy visualizations to consciously create success
Hi there,
How in control do you feel of your life right now?
Do you feel like you can make changes at will or are things already "decided" for you?
For years, I saw myself at the mercy of fate. If the game of life was roulette then I was the ball – tossed around by the whims of the Universe; often landing somewhere totally out of my control.
Jobs, money, relationships…it all seemed so random.
I just didn't believe I could consciously choose success for my life. I was working hard—but I was so frustrated, waiting for the answer to magically appear in a personal development book.
So, what's changed?
Everything. When I mastered my ability to manifest what I want.
Manifesting means making your dreams or goals come true in the real world. I've learned how to direct my attention and use the Law of Attraction so I can feel much more in control of my fate.
Can anyone do this?
Yes, but before you can consciously create success, I believe you have to get to a base level of happiness. This means dealing with any long-lasting issues, including seeing a counselor or therapist if you need to, and doing a lot of forgiveness work. (I talk about this in my books and courses A LOT!).
Once you’ve built this foundation, you have the energy and attention to consciously create your life. Otherwise there's too much "stuff" in the way.
Back to my roulette analogy.
What if you were the roulette wheel and YOU controlled where the ball landed? Even better, what if you were the hand that tossed the ball and spun the wheel?
Or what if you could choose every aspect of the game. What if you waited for the wheel to stop and then just chose where you wanted to be?
Imagine yourself as a tiny person waiting patiently on the green felt of the gambling table. You walk around the wheel as it slows down, looking at all the options and then climb aboard when something appeals to you.
Imagine seeing life that way.
All the choices are spread out before you and you have the luxury, discernment, and ultimate decision on which way you take your life.
In early 2010, I was living in my flat in London, freezing and fed up with living in one of the poorest areas of the city. I craved beaches, travel and professional success.
Fast forward one year, I spent six months traveling around luxury resorts being paid as a professional blogger, spent more time with my husband, became a life coach and moved to one of the most beautiful cities in the world, five minutes from the beach in Australia.
Coincidence or deliberate creation? One way I believe I created this life was that I repeatedly did two visualizations that helped me believe it was possible before it was a reality.
The Alternate Universe Visualization!
Alternate universes are the stuff of science fiction novels like Star Trek, right? If you've seen the movie, What The Bleep Do We Know, then you'll know that some scientists believe in alternate or parallel universes.
Let's suspend disbelief for a moment.
We think of reality as a single, linear time frame; past, present and future. The "many-worlds" concept is one where every single possible outcome of every event is realised in its own universe. In one universe you might be married to that person you dated at High School. In another, you might have become a famous singer or dancer – whatever your dream was.
As with all of these concepts, you can choose to interpret the message literally or metaphorically.
This is how I use it to change my life or attract goals.
Visit the different realities
You can visit the past or yourself in different current realities, but my favourite is to time travel and visit myself in the future.
You don't need a DeLorean, you just need your imagination.
Sit somewhere quiet, close your eyes and try to focus your thoughts. It might be difficult the first couple of times you attempt it.
Imagine walking up a road where you stop in front of a particular house. Look around at the style of the house and the grounds. Notice any interesting features.
You go up and knock on the door. A version of You answers it. They are expecting you for a visit!
Take a sneak peek and check out this alternative You. What do they look like? What is their approximate age? Do they look healthy? What are they wearing? It's ok to stare!
The other You takes you to a room in the house. As you walk through the house, check out the furnishings. Is it a large house? What gadgets and cool things are around the house?
You take a seat in this particular room and have a nice chat. What would you like to ask the other You? What advice would you like? Ask anything you like!
"How did you get where you are today? What is one piece of advice you have for me?"
Once you've run out of questions, give the other You a hug and say thank you. Leave the house and close the door behind you.
This is such an interesting exercise. After all, your unconscious mind probably knows all it needs to already to step forward for your dreams. Who better to ask than yourself?
The first couple of times you do this exercise you might feel like you're just making up the answers, but after a while you'd be surprised at the insight that comes forward.
An actress I did this with was told "film everything" from her future self. So, she's started to ensure that every show she does is filmed and she's made showcases to send to agents.
You may come up with some fantastic ideas, but it also serves another purpose. It allows you to experience what life would be like in your dream reality. The more you can experience it in your dream world, the easier it will be to create it. You'll unconsciously start to believe in yourself just a little bit more and the dream won't seem so far-fetched.
Decide to consciously jump into another reality
Remember in Mary Poppins when they jumped into the chalk drawing into a magical world? This is exactly the same.
Imagine that you are jumping from your current world into a different reality. You can do this as a meditation or you can pretend to jump physically in the real world (do it when you're alone!)
You can't use it to suddenly jump into a universe where you're married to Robert Pattinson or Scarlett Johansson. Sorry!
Think of it as the six degrees of separation game. You have to move into one new reality at a time and feel comfortable and "real" before you can move on. A bit like saying as your confidence increases and you see the next step as achievable, you'll move on.
Practice jumping into a new reality where you already have the confidence to call a particular person or try out for a new job. Decide to jump into a reality where you win a competition you just entered or where you pass a test with flying colours.
Once you've jumped, stand how you would in that reality. Feel the feeling of achievement in that reality. Take on the new attributes you've gained there.
Start where there is a 50% chance of achieving something and decide to jump into the reality where it's done already. I used it when I was in the running for the Ultimate Job competing against 30,000 people.
This can be incredibly motivating because if just one of the alternate universes has a 100% success rate, then you just need to find the right one!
Try it out and see the results
These meditations have helped thousands of people over the last decade to challenge their perception of what's possible and help them reach for their dreams.
Don't overthink or over analyse these exercises. You don't need to literally believe in alternate universes or time travel to benefit.
It's just a tool to change your self-beliefs and have you experience life "as if" you're already successful.
