We'll be publishing as soon as we possibly can!
      Hi all, it is with terrible guilt that I come to you. I see that our website got a huge number of hits on October 31, when I said I hoped Butler's Island would be ready. To all of our wonderful fans I apologize and ask that you bear with us for another two weeks, for a better book. We are line editing right now, and it's amazing the mistakes we haven't yet caught.
Also, after spending hours online looking unsuccessfully for a stock image suitable for the cover of Butler's Island, we have contracted with artist Paul Strahm
http://paulstrahmpaintings.com/Home.html
to create a custom image. Since we can't publish without it, and don't know when it will be done, I have planned to post the whole of Butler's Island on Matthewbutleradventures.com , on the evening of November 14th, preliminary to publishing. I hope that you - our fans - will be able to enjoy the book before it is officially released.

Looking good!
      We've reached over 12,000 downloads for butler did It!  So exciting to think that many people have given it a try.  Thank you so much to those of you who have let us know that you liked it.
What's looking good is the new novel, Butler's Island. I feel pretty confident that it will be ready to show to the world by the end of October, I want to say the middle of October but I don't want anybody mad at me if we don't make the deadline.

This is a dreadful blog!
      Don't think I don't know it!  It takes talent and a lot of effort to make a good blog.  And tweets too for that matter.  So... I'd rather use what talent and effort I have on  Matthew Butler's next adventure.  Read some of those really great blogs that are out there, and then read our book.   Updates will be forthcoming, but don't expect to be dazzled, a great blogger I'm not!

Advice Matthew's Father gave him when he was thirteen
      When Matthew had his first crush and asked his father about love, this is what his father said;
If she stops your heart when you first meet her, that's good. If your heart pounds as you get to know her, that's good. But one day, when you realize that she has become the beat of your heart, and that without her there's only a terrifying silence, then you've found love.

His purr fills the room.
      Big Mr. Max cat, in the picture with me, comes in from outside and fills the room with his purr.  He's right, it's that nice out there.  He will have a petting now, thank you, and no excuses.  It's ok, I'm useless today anyway. I spent yesterday moving all the big pots into their summer places and getting the irrigation up and running, and a couple of hours weeding at the community garden.  Today, I'm overwhelmed by my collection of garden center treasures and am completely unable to make the decisions of what goes where.  Like I could possibly get it wrong.  They're all so beautiful, they'll look great anywhere.

The value of Free
      We made Butler Did It!  free last week, .99 cents on Amazon because I have yet to figure out how to make it free there.  The result was a HUGE increase in downloads.  It's so cool to think that that many people were at least tempted to read it.
I wish I knew what they thought of it. the feedback we have gotten has been good overall, with our two most honest and critical family saying they thought it dragged until Kobi jumps off the yacht. We have considered rewriting and re-submitting it, now that we have that feedback we can see how to do it better. But we're also kind of tired of it and want to get on to the next one. And do we dare change it now after people have already read it? Why not, I guess, if it makes it a better book. It's a quandary.
