Jess Naudé is a non-binary author and creative living in Christchurch, New Zealand. They spent their childhood in South Africa, where their love for stories was nourished by their family and their school librarian - Mrs. Hendrikson. During the Covid pandemic, weekly online DnD campaign sessions lead to Jess creating the world of Milnuldír, which was originally a campaign setting for a DnD 5e Homebrew. However, Jess quickly fell in love with this world that they had designed, and began writing their first full-length novel - Shadow's Awakening.
