John K Slater is an American Christian author born in Gainesville, Florida, in 1966. John spent his childhood in Tennessee and Georgia before settling in Lake City, Florida, where he graduated high school. John now lives in Ocala, Florida, with his amazing wife, Shelah, and their mischievous but lovable cat Rocky.

While working on military manuals, John acquired a passion for instructive technical writing. The desire to help others through written instructions sparked an interest in authoring faith-based help topics. He soon began writing Christian discipleship manuals and daily devotions for faith-based organizations.
