I���m so excited that Copy That, Copy Cat! won the EUREKA! Award for Excellence in Nonfiction from the California Reading Association. It���s pretty cool that my first state list is my home state���and that we got Gold! You can see the other honorees at the CRA website.

The Orange County Children���s Book Festival is right down the street at Orange Coast College, where my Dad used to teach! A great day with SCBWI SoCal.

Team Copy Cat had a great time at the first OC Book Fair in Old Town Tustin! The SCBWI booth was great, as always, and lots of independent bookstores participated. Thanks to my mom and sister!

Wow, COPY THAT, COPY CAT is a finalist for the Cybils Awards!

The CYBILS are judged by book bloggers. They have a really extensive process; this article is really interesting. The finalists were announced January 1st, so that was a pretty awesome way to start the new year! The winner in each category will be announced February 14th.
