I am a Christian novella author, meaning that I write short stories that glorify God and inspire His people to pursue becoming workers in His great harvest fields of the world. How I got to this point in my life has a lot to do with God's leading. When I became born-again in 1994, it was a twenty-year spiritual journey that led to me giving out of my treasure for the purposes of advancing God's kingdom here on earth. Late in 2010, I invested in giving five Chinese Bibles to five Chinese Christians in China. In exchange for them, we were given each others names to pray over; and so we did. How do you get inspired to write?

Alan McBride Well, as I explained in my bio, I traced my writing inspiration to when I invested in giving five Chinese Bibles to five Chinese Christians in China. …moreWell, as I explained in my bio, I traced my writing inspiration to when I invested in giving five Chinese Bibles to five Chinese Christians in China. In exchange for them, we were given each others names to pray over; and so we did. Later on, I saw missionaries; Pelle and Evie Eriksson host a half-hour program on the Back to Jerusalem Movement, featuring Brother Yun, "The Heavenly Man" and Brother Ren, which aired on the Daystar Television Network at the time. Before that I never knew China to have any sort of Christianity left at all in it, considering how deeply Communism was entrenched in that country. This new understanding opened my eyes, my mind as well as my heart to how very much Christian China is fast becoming and how inspirational this renewed understanding was on my outlook on the future of China without it being Maoist any longer ... just like what happened to the Soviet Union in the 1980's! It also enabled the Lord to open my eyes to the plight of the underground house church movement in China. This led the Lord to having me write my first novella on China and the Back to Jerusalem movement. (less)

Alan McBride For my most recent book published, "The Death Mask War," that idea on writing about North Korea came from having read a Voice of the Martyr's booklet …moreFor my most recent book published, "The Death Mask War," that idea on writing about North Korea came from having read a Voice of the Martyr's booklet on the plight of Christians in North Korea. There was a call in that booklet to pray for North Korean Christians; and so I did. This lead the Lord to inspire me to write a novella on how North Korea could be liberated from its tyrannical Kim cult through a war of liberation by its neighbors, particularly a newly liberated Nationalist Republican China, Republic of Korea, and the Russian Federation.
