Christmas Jar Stealth Plans
It will happen in a day or two or three. My family and I will go out to eat at a restaurant that shall not be named. We’ll order food and eat and enjoy being together. We’ll keep our poker faces on as we converse with our waiter or waitress. When the check is given, we’ll slip our credit card into the handy little slot and wait for our waitress or waiter to take it and bring it back. When we leave the restaurant, we’ll also leave this little jar behind for the kind person who served us. I hope it brings a smile to their face. I love this time of year. Happy giving!

Happy Anniversary

Today marks four months since Escaping Neverland was published. Books usually only reach a wide audience by word of mouth so I thought I’d ask for some help to get the word out there.
If you’ve read the book, would you please consider giving it a review on goodreads and amazon?
While you’re on goodreads, you could recommend it to your goodreads friends and followers that you think would like it.
Social media is always a good way to get the word out. Would you please consider giving the book a shout-out on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or any other social media outlet?
It is also helpful to get the book in libraries. Would you consider checking to see if the book is at your library? If they don’t carry it, consider calling your library and asking them if they will make it part of their collection.
All of these things help authors get the word out about their creation. Thanks for your support!

Three, Two, One, . . .
Guys, it’s launch time! Escaping Neverland is officially released. If you pre-ordered on Amazon, your book should be shipping soon. If you’ve been waiting to get the book in person, you’re in luck. I’ve got three events this summer in three locations. I hope to see you there!
On July 4, I’ll be signing books at Hyrum’s 4th of July celebration again. Come find me at Hyrum City Square from 11-5. This will be the first signing to include Escaping Neverland!
On July 26th, I’ll be having a launch party hosted by the bookstore The Printed Garden in Sandy, Utah. There’s lots of space and lots of parking. Bring a friend!
On August 17th, I’ll be having a Cache Valley launch party hosted by Downeast Home and Clothing in Logan, Utah.
AND, to kick off the release of Escaping Neverland, I’m giving away 7 copies. You can enter on goodreads.

Best Summer Ever
This summer went by so quickly. I never once heard my kids say the words, “I’m bored.” We volunteered twice a week when we were in town so they were happy to stay home the other days. I went to California by myself, and we went another time as a family. We visited Idaho for an amazing singing camp, and I also got to spend my birthday with friends in the mountains. My girls did some other camps, and just like that, the weather has changed and summer is gone. I can’t wait to see it again next year.
The seasons are like visitors. We greet them with excitement at first. Then, after weeks and weeks, we wonder if our guests are going to stop leaving their leaves all over the lawn, or if they’ll ever learn to moderate the temperature. Time marches them out of the house, and we are left mourning.

Big News!
I’m pregnant! Well, sort of. I’m having another book.
Really, though, it’s funny that the publishing process takes about as long as human gestation.
So, I’ll be having some morning sickness (marketing planning).
And some contractions (edits & proofs).
And some cravings (for fun).
And, I’ll need to give it a name. You can find out the name on the sneak peeks page.
I can’t wait to share this book with my readers.

Reading on the Go
Keep a book in your car, in your pocket, in your purse or backpack so you always have something good to read wherever your day takes you.
Reading is a Treasure
Books are amazing. How can one item be packed with so many ideas, adventures, friends and places? Words. They give meaning to life, help us understand our world and one another and often provided a necessary escape. I’m looking forward to my next escape book! Now I just have to find it.
