I stepped on the scale this morning.

And for just a moment, I could feel that familiar
temptation to spiral.

My workout routine hasn’t looked anything like I
wanted it to lately. A shoulder injury and pinched
nerve interrupted my normal routine. Then came
traveling, disrupted schedules, meals eaten in
restaurants, days spent away from home, and
eventually a week of sitting vigil with family.
