I was born in Castlepollard, an Irish institution that housed pregnant women, then forced them to give up their babies. I was then sent to St. Patrick's Orphanage in Dublin. Is stayed there until Iw as almost five.
I was adopted to the states (California) when I was just shy of five. I am grateful to my adoptive family for the care in getting me healthy and providing what I needed to continue to grow.
After a lot of really hard work, I graduated from college, with a degree in English Literature, and a teaching credential. I taught high school literature for 10 years, then I went back to college and received a credential and RSP certificate to teach special education, where I taught high school sp. ed. for 15 years.
