Ed was born in London and educated at the Royal Hospital School. After graduating, he taught in Surrey and Kingston, and then moved to Somerset and Devon where he worked as Deputy and Headteacher.
In 1996, he was appointed Principal of Glenealy School in Hong Kong, and in 2005 decided to fulfil an ambition to write.
Ed now divides his time between homes in the UK and Spain.
In 2010, he was shortlisted by Alibi in their search for new crime writing talent with his short story, A Matter of Time.
In 2011, he published his first crime novel The Whore’s Companion. (Re-released with a new title, Under A Broken Sky, in April 2013).
In 2012, he completed his second crime novel Mask of an Angel (published in April 2013), and began work on his next novel,

So, both books have sold quite well - but, I'd like to increase sales.

I've been so busy writing my new book, that publicising previous publications has taken a back seat.
