Brent Acuff is a teacher in Hutto, TX, and a weekend writer. He is a yearly participant in NaNoWriMo and started a student writers program with numerous students participating in NaNoWriMo's Young Writers Program. Brent has several influences in writing spanning the range of styles. Authors include Scott Sigler, Christopher Moore, Max Brooks, Anne McCaffrey, Patrick McLean, and Mur Lafferty.
