Ryan Dyer is a Canadian writer of horror and transgressive fiction with a degree in communications and media studies. His academic background shapes his approach to storytelling, where he experiments with structure, tone, and familiar cultural forms to unsettle readers and expose uncomfortable ideas.

He is the author of multiple short works and collections, including Hot Pot of Human Pieces, Clown in a Cornhole and Chinese Juggalo as well as the non-fiction book The Underground in China.
