Levi Walsh Arrives May 20,2025
I am very excited that my latest book, Protect Your Own, will be published on May 20,2025, in both eBook, paperback, and soon, as an audio book.
The book introduces Levi Walsh and his spirited daughter, Becca. Becca's childhood was difficult, interrupted by a divorce when she was eleven, after which her mother disappeared. Levi loved his daughter, but his first duty was then to the U.S. Army, serving as an officer in the 75th Regiment in Afghanistan for multiple tours. Becca was left with Levi's father, Ray, a disabled Army veteran and devoted prepper. Becca is a star athlete and an avid hunter, and she was trained in self-defense by her grandfather.
When a horrific EMP attack on America occurs, the Walsh family was disrupted further.
Levi, already determined to retire from the service for his family, is stranded, torn between duty and his need to protect his daughter. Becca and Ray are surrounded by danger, fighting to survive as they wait for Levi to return.
I intend this as the first book in a different kind of series. Yes, it is post-apocalyptic, but the focus is on the father and daughter, as they fight to navigate the cruel world around them. Each book will be somewhat stand-alone, dealing with Levi and Becca in a new location, faced by a new challenge. I hope you enjoy it.

Watch for Ice Breaker!
I'm excited that my newest book, titled Ice Breaker, is nearly finished and should be published in less than a week. This is the first book in a totally new series, and the story is very different from my three, prior, four-book series. Yes, it deals with a cast of characters trying to survive after a massive disaster, but it isn't an EMP or virus story, but instead deals with a threat that I believe is fairly unique in this genre. I spent more time researching this book than I have any of my prior efforts, and I hope it shows in the final product. I'm excited about the characters, and anxious to begin work on book two in the series. Jack Hance
