There are five novels in my Puzzle thriller series, three in my series about the life of Constantine the Great and three in my Conspiracy thriller series.

My roots go back to a small estate deep in the Mountains of Mourne, near the Silent Valley, in County Down, Northern Ireland.

I went to school in Dublin, drank way too much, studied English and history, then business, then IT at Oxford University. While a student, I worked as a kitchen porter in a club near the Bank of England.

After that I spent ten years working in the City of London, the creaking hub of world finance.

Now I have three kids and a day job helping writers & publishing companies with their social media and digital marketing.

In 2007 I won the Outstanding Novel Submitted awar

“Say a prayer to whatever God you believe in or none, and find the strength within you to keep going, and get back on the road after every fall and write, then write some more. You’re a writer, if you write.”
Laurence O'Bryan

“The Plexiglas window was half an inch thick. No sound could be heard from the clean room beyond the glass. There wouldn’t be much noise, anyway. The ten-year-old boy lying on the stainless steel gurney was barely breathing, and the blood oozing from his orifices would create only the faintest dripping noise as it fell on the powder-blue floor tiles. The boy had pulled at the leather straps holding him down when the doctor entered the room. As he’d stared, owl-eyed, at doctor Brandt he’d whispered the only word in English he seemed to know – father – before the doctor gave him the injection. Doctor”

Tom Greer Hi, Lawrence, thanks for friending me on Goodreads. My new crime novel, Death Comes Calling, is now available from Kindle ebook and paperback form, so please feel free to take a look via the Amazon UK link at the bottom.

The Kindle price is £2.99 and the paperback price is £9.32.

A successful career woman is found dead on the floor of her North London kitchen with her throat brutally slashed. Beside the body lies a half-open razor with a single droplet of blood at the tip of an otherwise pristine blade.

However, the forensics prove this razor can’t be the murder weapon, and when another successful career woman is found murdered a few days later, again in her kitchen, again with her throat cut and again with a blood-tipped half-open razor placed beside her body, Detective Chief Inspector John Gore of the Metropolitan Police fears he has a potential serial killer on his hands.

As the body count rises the pressure is mounting on Gore to quickly find and stop the killer.

Meanwhile someone is sending him taunting notes, each headed, Death Comes Calling, and Gore begins to realise the killer is playing mind games not just with the police, but with him personally. The question is…why?

Thanks, Tom.

JerriFaye Thomason Hi Laurence,

I wish I could join your Book Give Away but my publisher is removing my book from Ingram's Book List. I never did get my book, Our World In Poetry "Today's News ~ Is Tomorrow's History" into book stores. The publisher did nothing to help. The stores I went into said that they could not turn a profit because of their price to purchase. My book was pricey, but it was a book that could have become an heirloom. I write news poetry and it is illustrated pictorially. It's not digital because of the pictorial collages. I write in basic english with no hidden meanings and I researched my work. It is at amazon if you want to check it out in BOOKS use my full name, much easier to find.

Thank you for the invite.

~Me~

L Dear Laurence,
Thank you so much for being my friend here on GoodReads. I apsolutely LOVED 'the jerusalem puzzle' and concider myself to have been extremely lucky, to have won a copy of this book through a GoodReads giveaway. I do hope that my review helps in promoting your work.

Also, i do hope to have the oportunity of reading your other book 'The Istanbul Puzzle' at some point, and don't know whether it might be possible to have a copy to read and review? It would be good to start the journey from the beginning.

Kind Regards
Lucinda x

Harlequin Books Hello Laurence, it is a pleasure to meet you.

Laurence O'Bryan Thanks Bonnie. I made a token gesture of standing up, but it was enough for me right now.

The code book is good, not for a full read through, but for checking out parts of the history of code development and for dipping into. Take care! L

Bonnie Hi Laurence, thanks for the friend request. Interesting reading you've got there, especially The Code Book. It sounds intriguing, would you recommend it?

P.S. Good on you for sticking to your guns, re: saying no.

Laurence O'Bryan Hi Jesse,

Thanks for the link to your spiritual allegory. I am always interested in the mystery of the unknown. I wish you well on your journey.

Jesse Hanson I appreciate your including me among your goodreads friends, LP. Looks like fascinating reading material on your list.
If you have an interest in spirituality, I will invite you to consider my spiritual allegory, Song of George: Portrait of an Unlikely Holy Man. It's fiction, inspired by my personal life.
Best wishes. Namaste, jesse
