Marcos Sánchez Calveiro, coñecido artisticamente como Marcos Calveiro, nado en Vilagarcía de Arousa (Pontevedra, Galicia) o 13 de outubro de 1968, é un escritor, avogado e hostaleiro galego.

Neto de feirantes e taberneiros, reside coa súa parella e dous fillos en Vigo, onde traballa como avogado. Comezou a publicar de forma serodia, con máis de 35 anos, e fíxoo inicialmente no eido da literatura infantil e xuvenil. Tamén ten escrito poesía e, en 2008 publicou a súa primeira novela dirixida a un público adulto, Festina lente. En decembro de 2009 gañou o premio Lazarillo coa novela xuvenil O pintor do sombreiro de malvas, en 2015 gañou o IX Premio Narrativa Breve Repsol con Fontán e en 2017 gañou o premio García Barros con O xardineiro dos ing ...more
