John Osborne is a regular guy who writes regular novels about fairies. Of course, fairies aren’t regular, nor are they ordinary, as Willow Brown, the main subject of John’s first book, An Ordinary Fairy, is quick to point out. His second book, Willow Brown, American Fairy, continued the story of Willow’s life and romance with her human companion, Noah Phelps. The third installment of the Willow Brown Stories, Willow Brown, Plain Fairy was released in October 2013.

At age 12, my family moved to Danville and I lived in or near there until about six years ago, when my wife and I relocated to Urbana. She has a doula practice here and I work for the University, so it was a logical move to make. We live near Lincoln Square and just love it here. I can walk to work every day, which is when a lot of great writing ideas come to life and much dialogue is rehearsed.(less)
