Our newest book is Haunted Noble County, Indiana:

Noble County, Indiana, boasts small town charm, a State Park and lakes for recreation lovers, tourist attractions all year long … and ghosts.

The county’s only movie theater is patrolled by the well-known manager—who died in 1995. Two of the highest hills in the state are haunted, one after a hanging and another because of a murder immortalized by Indiana’s poet laureate. The sprawling Kneipp Sanitarium received a visit from the Virgin Mary herself, and became a battleground of good vs. evil. Then there’s The Thing in the Basement.

Join authors and historians Mark and Emily Hunter as they tour the dark and spooky corners of Noble County.

Charge Away From Battery Fires

The theme for 2025's Fire Prevention Week is "Charge Into Fire Safety", which I thought was sending the wrong message. Do you want people to Charge Into Fire anything? I submit that we should be charging out of fire.

It turns out the National Fire Prevention Association is talking about safety when dealing with batteries, specifically lithium-ion batteries. Lithium-Ion Energy, or LIE, as I like to Read more of this blog post »

Mark Hunter added a status update: Have you wondered what an author's press release looks like, before the media gets it?

No? Oh. Well, it looks like this:

https://markrhunter.blogspot.com/2025...

The trick is to make it easy for news outlets to pull what they need, so they have material and the author has exposure. This is one time when exposure is good. Not like that time I forgot to close the curtains.
