Now I'm semi-retired and the mortgage is paid off, I've been able to fulfil my ambition. The result is my first novel, "The Itch That Couldn't Be Scratched", which was published on 1st March 2024.

I've read quite a few John Grisham books and this has possibly the most complex plot. It's also a bit of a rarity in that the main character isn't a lawyer and the main action doesn't take place in a courtroom.

I've never been that keen on Tom Selleck as an actor but I've seen a few of the Jesse Stone films and he seems perfect in the role. That's encouraged me to read some of the books in the series and they've all been a good read.
