She has a homes in Massachusetts and New York.
Strickland has a Ph.D. in American literature from the University of Michigan and has taught at Stony Brook University, Rutgers University, Southampton College, Stevens Institute of Technology, and La Guardia Community College. She’s won accolades for her screenplays in prestigious competitions.

My new historical novel

Literary agents! I’m seeking representation for A Fuller Life, my novel set in 1850 Concord, Massachusetts. The protagonist is pioneering feminist writer Margaret Fuller and her literary friends Emerson, Thoreau, Hawthorne, Melville, and Whitman. They’re now stars of the Golden Age of American lit, while Fuller (more brilliant than them) is mostly forgotten.

has 3 boards with images of art and maps to show the scene of my novel The Eagle and the Swan: (1) Leda and the swan page has art related to this myth (and the infamous dance Theodora was known for), (2) Empress Theodora board shows the heroine, (3) Constantinople board has scenes from the late Roman Empire in the capital of Byzantium, c. 6th century
