Spiritual Pubishers Info Request
Hallo all!
Have gone undercover for the last few months writing my fourth book 'In Search of Spirit'. I can now see the finishing line and wanted to ask if anyone stateside would have any view on publishers of this genre.
Also it is always handy to send review copies to influential folk so if there is any advice on this too would be wonderful.
If you'd like to see a sample of the book please email me@
steve@transformyourskills.com
Huge thanks

COLLABORATIVE WRITING
Collaboration – Brain Fusion in Action
You've heard the phrase 'two heads are better than one'. Two heads working in harmony like a song writing team with melody and lyrics complement each other to bring music to our ears.
In business, success is often gained by people who on the surface may have conflicting personalities but who work together to pool their talents to achieve a joint commercial aim.
In the book Transform Your Communication Skills we enjoyed a third mode of collaboration. Eleven people shared their specialist knowledge in the field of personal communication to create a diverse and dynamic result.
The idea was to produce a comprehensive reference guide. One that you could consult if you needed help on a particular aspect, like speaking in public, or maybe you want to raise your overall skill level in speaking, writing and presenting. So often books are written by one person with their particular take on a subject, here you benefit from real-world advice and guidance gleaned from years of practical experience.
The book explores these themes:
• How to manage nerves when speaking in public
• How to create content and develop presentation structure
• How to analyse and pitch to an audience
• How to improve your writing skills across a range of essentials like reports and proposals, PR releases, newsletters and case studies.
Let me introduce the men and women who've shared their expertise in chapter order.
Stephen Engwell an NLP Master Practitioner takes to the stage first in Chapter 5. Stephen tackles fears of public speaking and managing nerves. Sally Hindmarch and Annie Farr from Partners with You use professional actors to train people how to deliver a confident performance when speaking in public. They pass on their advice in Chapters 7 and 8.
Peter Cooke of Dudleigh Films provides tips on writing a video script and presenting to camera in Chapter 9. Chapter 10 is where Steve Hyland and Linda Bazant of Business Connections Live provide invaluable advice on how to prepare for radio and television interviews and never say 'No comment!'
Social Media is uppermost in the minds of Mark Hughes of Three Tier Media and Melonie Dodaro of Top Dog Social Media from British Columbia Canada in Chapter 12. Jonathan Davey of The Berkshire Blog talks about the marketing impact of newsletters in Chapter 14.
Steve Preston of SMP-Solutions is a leader in the field of career and personal development and creator of the 6 Step Change Cycle focuses on how to use the power of case studies to build your professional reputation in Chapter 17.
One of the key benefits of adopting a collaborative approach is that the energy is constant from first to last with each voice maintaining the momentum with fresh thinking to keep the reader involved.

TRANSFORM YOURSELF - BECOME THE FUTURE YOU
Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.
George Bernard Shaw
Be honest. How often have you been at work or listened to someone stand up and speak and wished you could be that confident? How often have you been asked to write something and suffer from a total block of the brain and drown in a sea of white paper with no idea where to start?
How often, without warning your boss or someone else puts you on the spot and tells you to prepare and deliver a presentation? Paralysis by fear can be over-whelming. How would you like to react to any or all of these situations and be under-whelmed because you know you can meet and beat the challenge?
Just imagine stress dissolving away and turning heavy dread into a lightness of being. Visualising this sensation is the first step in realising it. Laird Hamilton is an American big wave surfer dude. He put it like this 'Make sure your worst enemy doesn't lie between your two ears.' You have all it takes to move from the place you are now to become the future you.
Don’t self-limit. No matter what stage you're at you can develop your communication skills to make you feel more confident and feel so much better about yourself. No one expects a magic want to sprinkle pixie dust over you to immediately perform like a television professional.
That's not real life. With help and dedication you can achieve the progression you foresee. Be yourself draw from the ability you already possess to take you where you want to go.
The book 'Transform Your Communication Skills' could be the guide to the future you. You will learn how to:
1. Stop your nerves getting the better of you when speaking in public
2. Develop your writing skills to influence others and achieve the results you want
3. Create engaging and enjoyable presentations, time after time
Take the future into your own hands

Transfom Your Communicaiton Skills :Book Excerpts
NLP – CHANGE YOUR MIND CHANGE YOUR LIFE
Positive Change. That's the theme of this series of blogs stimulated by the book 'Transform Your Communication Skills' written by Steve Bridger in collaboration with ten outstanding communication experts.
First up in chapter order, is Steve Engwell an NLP Master Practitioner. Steve thought it best to begin at the beginning and explain what those three letters mean and how they can change your life. This is an extract from the book.
“Our beliefs are the stories we tell ourselves. Change the story to change the belief”
What is NLP?
NLP, or Neuro Linguistic Programming, was created by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in California, USA during the 1970s. They studied human excellence and were curious about ‘the difference that made the difference’ between people who were good at what they did and those who were excellent.
NLP is a model of communication. It focuses on how we individually think about our values and beliefs and how this in turn creates the emotional states, behaviour and identity for our inner world, which then manifests externally. It’s about the language of the mind using pictures, sounds, feelings, taste, smell, and self-talk.
We are what we think and feel. Our behaviour has a structure and this can be modelled (that’s both our conscious and unconscious patterns), learned (like a strategy being run) and changed
(re-programmed). Excellent behaviour can be duplicated.
NLP can be described as:
N – Neurology. How our brain and physiology is wired up harmoniously together to allow us to breathe, laugh, walk, eat, learn habits and to feel as we do
L – Linguistic. The verbal and non-verbal language we use when we talk to
ourselves (like stories we tell ourselves) and communicate with other people
P – Programming. The bringing together and combining of all the above patterns to create our own unique software that we run automatically, just like a computer program to achieve the results we do – good and bad.
Put simply, NLP is a set of tools and approaches that modify patterns of thinking that affect the way we behave. Change the way you think and change the way your think and act. Doing this will build confidence and help you overcome shyness in every aspect of your life.
In the book Steve Engwell goes on to describe how NLP can help you build your confidence and overcome shyness. You will realise that you have all it takes to change your mind and change your life for the better.
