Inga M. Nelson is a speculative science fiction author focused on consciousness, science, and character-driven storytelling.

Born and raised in Canada, Inga has lived in five provinces, an experience shaped by her father’s career as a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force. She now lives near the Rocky Mountains in Calgary, Alberta, with her husband, Allan, and their budgies, Laurel and Hardy.

Growing up in a household of mechanics, Inga was surrounded by conversations about problem-solving, improvisation, and making things work. That early exposure sparked a lasting interest in science, systems, and how things function beneath the surface — themes that continue to shape her storytelling.
