We made it through September, and spooky season draws ever nearer. I’ve got my annual Shirley Jackson read all lined up, (I read something of hers every October), and I made scones last weekend. Now I just need to it finally cool down so I can make my favorite soup in the world.

Here in my neck of the woods, we had a couple of days of false fall last week. Overcast, breezy, mid-60s/low-70s temps. It was glorious. Now we’re back to 90+ degrees, and suddenly I’m craving sweater weather and soup season. (Also, I bought like 3 cute hoodies recently, but it’s still too hot to wear them. 😩)
