Ashley is the award-winning author of the Kentucky Blood series, a gritty, uncompromising Southern Gothic saga that explores complex characters and raw emotion. Raised in the rural enclaves of western Kentucky, he spent 11 years surviving Tokyo’s cutthroat corporate world, becoming fluent in Japanese while staying true to his Kentucky upbringing. He often roots for the bad guys in stories and hopes his books inspire you to do the same.

Ashley Sheikh and 2 other people liked Max G.'s review of The Battle of the Smokehouse (The Kentucky Blood Series Book 2): "Fast-paced and unusual in structure. Could there be less explicit content? Sure. Still just as raw, brutal, and graphic as the first book. And still, I couldn't put it down. "

Ashley Sheikh and 3 other people liked Nicole J's review of The Battle of the Smokehouse (The Kentucky Blood Series Book 2): "WARNING: BRUTAL ENDING. I knew something bad was gonna happen, but not THAT. The ending physically affected me. I really wanted more of Rhonda in this book but looks like we're gonna have to wait until Book 3. Still, I'm digging the 70s timeline now." Read more of this review »
