Clara is a former foster kid who grew up, wrote about it, and is still figuring out the healing part in real time.
She is the author of A Foster Kid’s Tale and her newly released book Turns Out, Healing’s a Hike.

She writes about foster care, aging out, resilience, healing, parenting and what it actually takes to break cycles. She doesn't write to sound like some IG influencer or package life into neat little lessons. It's honest. Sometimes funny. Sometimes uncomfortable. Always real.

She hosts a podcast Nothing Inherited and spends a lot of time outdoors, because healing turns out to look a lot like fresh air and cold mornings. ...more
