Staying the Course

I'm up to 40K in my current WiP, and things are going pretty well. Still averaging 1K a day and plotting each chapter before I write it. Friday Freebie

In an alternate Victorian era replete with aero-vehicles, automatons, and other electrik wonders, factory worker Anthony Reynolds seeks to improve his station in life for the sake of his young bride-to-be. Against his better judgment, he joins Richard, a gregarious coworker with social connections, for a night on the town after their late shift. Richard leads them deep into the city’s underworld

Writing Update

I've passed the 20K mark on my current work-in-progress, a post-apocalyptic western featuring an Old Testament city of refuge. It's a place where people who commit accidental manslaughter can be safe from retribution, but it's also a haven for outcasts of all stripes. I'm enjoying the characters and the world-building, and I'm grateful for those twenty-five pages of notes I scribbled down way

Horses by Jesse Welles

All my flannel's made in Bangladesh All my T-shirts in Vietnam There are places that we quietly ignore There are places that we go and bomb You know I thought an awful lot about Jesus Even more about Lao Tzu They say that the way of the Tao is to do nothing Then what the hell am I supposed to do? You know the harder you think, the deeper you sink The

If you enjoy murder mysteries with unexpected twists, a quirky amateur sleuth, and situational comedy, then check out this first installment in the Inspector Broekstein trilogy. He's an inspector, just not the type you'd expect..."Witty characters, snappy dialogue, and comical situations abound...I dare anyone to figure out the surprise ending before it comes." - Fred Schloemer"A marvelous

Vic Boyo, Three in One

Collected in a single volume for the first time: all three novels in the Vic Boyo, Doofus Detective trilogy, now available wherever eBooks are sold. If you're a fan of old-school hard-boiled noir with plenty of action, adventure, and screwball comedy along the way, give these campy crime thrillers a chance. Only one thing stands between Vic Boyo and saving the day. Well, maybe a few things. But
