I Love Writing

I would definitely consider myself a workaholic. To be at my desk by 6:00am and work until well after midnight, isn't unusual. Though I am proud of my work ethic, I do understand the importance of balance, so working those kinds of hours isn't something I would recommend.
I am however happy to have discovered writing, because now I can work until my last breath. I love writing!!!

I Love Progression

I love to look back at how I use to do things, and then look today and see just how much I've progressed. For example, my first novel "FREESTYLE FOR LIFE" took me about two years to write, but it wasn't for no other reason than good ol' procrastination. I would write a little, then go about my business. Write some more, and then not write for a couple of months. The longest part of the procrastination was convincing myself to finally release the book. I felt that I accomplished my goal just by getting it written. It was my wife who convinced me to move further.
My 2nd novel "FEASTYLE" took about 2 two also, but this one I committed myself to sitting down and writing every day. The problem was I went off a bit left field. Though it too was an Urban Novel, it was Horror, particularly about a Vampire. I wrote this one in 3rd person, and I limited my cast of characters. Still came out great, but boy what a task. Whereas my goal is to type a min of 1000 words per day, this book I was struggling with 300 per day. I found myself sitting at the computer 2 or 3 times in a day just to try and reach my quoter. The last obstacle I faced was giving myself a deadline and sharing it with my readers. I will never do that again. I finished it finally on Oct 31st 2014, Halloween.
My 3rd novel, the one I am currently working on is called "YES YES YALL" has me up and excited to get to the keys. 1900 words are flowing from my fingers in just a couple of hours a day. I'm writing in 1st person like I did with Freestyle For Life, I am familiar with the topic and I dare not give myself a deadline. This one is going to be absolutely incredible, and each book I've written so far has shown some type of progress... I love progress!
