Genuinely Celebrating a Friend's Success

Today was a great day to make a quick run to the local coffee/tea shop (I will refrain from giving them a shout-out, but it rhymes with Charclucks). I have my warm, rich, lovely Chai tea (with three pumps Pumpkin spice) in hand and my red fleece scarf securely snuggled around my neck. Okay, since I live on the west coast, I'm not suffering from bitter wind chill or mounds of snow, but cut me a break... I'm spoiled with the warm weather and 39 degrees can almost surely send...

She begins each morning by searching the space in front of her with her shaky hands and outstretched frail arms. What summer brings...



Summer time brings back a flood of memories; most of them involve a great story, either the actual experience or the exaggerated version that continues to get better each time I tell it. There were days when my cousins and I would swim from 7am until 10pm, only getting out to eat or use the facilities.
