Whether busking on street corners in Philadelphia, New Hope, PA or Lambertville, NJ, singing in venues the size of a postage stamp, large as a theater or as dank and devious as the underground settings could be, writing lyrics, poetry, fiery political or social articles, hitting the streets or the airwaves to fight for the poor and homeless (especially teens), workers’ rights and many other causes close to his heart, or finding the time to sit down and write a series such as ‘PUNKS’, the sounds of anarchy also known as punk rock have been Rich Cucarese’s lifelong soundtrack and fueled his ambition to continually fight for what is right and just.
With a background as patchwork as his musical influences, Rich spent a few years in college (Pen

In this regard, I've been extremely lucky.
The hardest thing that I've had to face is finding the time to write in between working a steel mill job consisting of 8 to 16 hour days, 5-6 days per week on rotating shifts, plus my union work, my volunteer time with various groups, including the Poor People's Army, which does fabulous work for the hungry and homeless in the Philadelphia area, and of course, spending quality time with my wife and five children.
All in all, I still manage to fit being creative into that hectic schedule, and my family is very supportive of my writing, which gives me a big boost of energy and confidence.(less)

It was a self-published work back in 2004, and even though I was happy with the overall project, I saw many things that I wanted to clean up to my present writing style, plus revamp some parts which needed refreshing. It's basically become a new novel by doing so, but I'm very pleased by the outcome, so far.

I should be finishing 'Black River' by the end of 2020, or the beginning of next year, and Wordsmiths Ink, LLC, will be publishing this new version.

I will also be placing the finishing touches on the second part of the 'PUNKS' trilogy, 'PUNKS' - The Chance after I complete 'Black River, and hope to have The Chance ready for Wordsmiths by the summer/autumn of 2021.

After that, my plans are to take a break and begin working on the final part of the 'PUNKS' trilogy by the end of 2021, and have it ready for 2022!(less)
