Giveaway Went Great!

Good morning! I just wanted to drop a note to say "thank you" to all the ones who entered the Goodreads Giveaway for He Turned My Mourning Into Joy.

The names have been drawn and the books will go out in the mail in the next few days. I appreciate each one of you so much.

I've not done much posting, or writing, this past month. The continuing issues from my surgery and the ensuing back problems are still being resolved. It has been a long 8 or 10 weeks. . .

I am so grateful for family and friends who have been gracious to help with things and have come by to visit. Once this is behind me, I hope to repay a few of the kind gestures.

Have a blessed day, and if you've not yet read my newest novel, I hope you think about it!

Pressing On

It's been a crazy two months for sure. I started out in November having back pain that radiated through my torso. Being the person that I am I tried to "tough it out" for as long as I could.

Toward the end of December, my newest books, Milo's First Christmas and He Turned My Mourning into Joy were both going strong. I was doing readings at schools (over 500 children heard the story of Milo at 3 different schools).

Then, with the pain more than I could bear, I went to the local nurse practitioner. She sent me immediately for an ultra sound. From there I was rushed to emergency surgery for my gallbladder to be removed. It seems I'd let it go to the point of it almost bursting.

From there I went home to recover, only to realize that somehow during surgery, they had pulled my back out in three separate places. The pain was agonizing.

And so, I have spent the last five weeks recuperating, rather than promoting my books and holding book signings.

This has been most frustrating, but then I realized, that the books are not mine to begin with, they belong to the Lord, and if He wants them to be a success, He will make that happen in spite of my frailty and humanness.

And so, I press on, writing a few things as I feel like it, and watching the reports coming in as individuals share with me how much these books have touched their lives.

Coming Soon . . .

It takes much longer to get a book on the market than I would like.

My newest novel, He Turned My Mourning Into Joy will be available on Amazon and in bookstores very soon.

I can't wait to share the actual book with you all. The front cover turned out to be a stunning glimpse of what the story entails.

As Suzanne Parker and her husband Daniel say their final goodbyes, you are guaranteed to feel every emotion they are feeling, every nuance of their pain, and their joy.

Watch for upcoming giveaways for this book!

May God bless you is my prayer,
Lynette

Website Personnel are Grand

Sometimes we take people or things for granted. I am bad about that when it comes to technology. Not being a techy myself, I simply expect things to work the way they are supposed to, look the way they are supposed to, and perform well.

This week my husband surprised me with an updated look to my website. With the help of our IT professional, they did a stellar job.

As I watched how hard they worked to bring it up to speed, and how many hours each of them invested, it dawned on me that I really do need to appreciate them more!

And so. . . hats off to all those who keep us connected and make our lives grand!

He Turned My Mourning Into Joy

He Turned My Mourning Into Joy is the story of one woman's sorrow and loss, and the joy that she finds in the midst of despair.

You will come to love Suzanne Parker as she fights the demons of darkness in the desperate world of Alzheimer's disease. You will be amazed at her strength and faith in God as she loves her husband to the end.

Hearts will ache for Peter Clifton as he struggles to keep his love for Suzanne hidden. And yet, he knows his life will never be the same after seeing her again.

My newest book is completed and will be available in the coming months. I look forward to sharing it with you!

New Christian Manuscript Finished

I've been working on a novel for a year or more now, and just finished it. I've sent it a couple of places to be considered, and am prayerfully waiting to see what God does with this book.

The title, He Turned My Mourning Into Joy, is reflective of the changes we all must face in life.

This is a multifaceted love story of a woman who loses her first love, only to find love with another.

Written from a Christian genre, I believe that it will touch the lives of those who read it.

Book Introduction

Lynette Chambers - He Turned My Mourning Into Joy

Daniel and Suzanne Parker’s world is turned upside-down with his diagnosis of Alzheimer’s. He is required to step down from his pulpit after more than twenty years, as the rapidly debilitating illness steals his very life. Even with Daniel being fourteen years her senior never, in her wildest dreams, has Suzanne imagined that she would be a widow at only forty-five years old.

Peter Clifton has spent his entire lifetime wishing he’d claimed Suzanne Brummell Parker as his own following their homecoming night some twenty-five years before. He has loved her from afar for as long as he can remember. Seeing her across the crowded gymnasium all these many years later, he makes up his mind to reconnect with her.

Realizing that her husband is desperately ill, Peter refrains from declaring his feelings for Suzanne. As a new believer, he is torn as she asks him to pray for her family, and particularly for Daniel; the only thing standing between him and her love. Peter agrees to stay in touch with Suzanne, and to be there if she needs him.

Life has a way of surprising us when least expected, of throwing us curveballs that can change the course of history.

Will the Lord lead and guide Peter Clifton as he learns to care for Suzanne and her children from afar?

Does Daniel Parker prove to have a greater love as he releases Suzanne for a chance at a love that goes beyond the grave?

Can Suzanne Parker believe that God is giving her a second chance at love; that even in the midst of mourning, love is once again possible?

Reader feedback would be appreciated. Is this a story that you might enjoy reading?

Thanks!
