Very Gaskellesque style that I enjoy, interesting characters and unique atmosphere. I think the characters are strong enough that their motivations could drive conflict more than misunderstandings; it makes for some lengthy conflicts that are then quickly resolved through a conversation or two and I really enjoy the writing so would love to see the conflicts at the heart of their relationships. Excited for the next one! (By M. M.)
