"Nací en 1975, en Viña del Mar, ciudad chilena que toca el Pacífico. En la adolescencia sentí gran atracción por la arqueología, los mitos griegos, egipcios y americanos. Leí con cierta sospecha filosofía, rescatando especialmente a Friedrich Nietzsche y los presocráticos. En el plano literario fui atraído por Edgard Alan Poe, Arthur Machen, William Hope Hodgson, Robert W.Chambers, Gustav Meyrink, H.P.Lovecraft y su “círculo” (Clark Ashton Smith, Robert Howard, etc.) por un lado; y por otro, la obra de Holderlin, los chilenos Juan Marín, Héctor Barreto y Miguel Serrano, y los poetas Jorge Teillier, Boris Calderón y Carlos de Rokha.
