Writing has been a part of my life since childhood.
As a boy, I wrote short stories while my younger brother, Regimon, created sketches to accompany them. Together, we produced handwritten magazines and circulated them among our schoolmates. Before long, our little publications became surprisingly popular, and the encouragement we received from our young readers planted something in me that never truly disappeared.
At home, creativity took another form. In our large joint family, we produced a handwritten daily newspaper complete with its own brand name, imaginary advertisements, family news and, of course, a little newsroom politics. Our father was the President and our mother the Prime Minister. With a large family providing an eager reader Writing has been a part of my life since childhood.

Our elder brothers, Achenkunjachayan and Babuchayan, proudly carried copies to their workplaces, where their colleagues became my first readers beyond the family.
As a teenager, I began sending short stories and essays to local publications. Many returned with polite regrets. A few were eventually accepted, giving me my first taste of seeing my words in print. Then professional studies and a demanding career gradually pushed writing into the background.
For decades, my professional life as an engineer, consultant and businessman occupied most of my time. Yet stories continued to accumulate quietly—drawn from people I met, places I experienced, events that changed me, and questions about life that never quite went away.
When I eventually returned seriously to writing, I began with the most natural subject I knew: my own life. My memoirs became an attempt to preserve experiences that were sometimes painful, sometimes joyful, and often unexpectedly transformative.
But the return to writing opened another door.
I began creating fiction—stories that allowed me to explore questions that real life does not always answer: What makes us human? How does a community survive adversity? Can ordinary people change the world without hatred? What happens when memory becomes more powerful than fear? And, perhaps most intriguingly, who are the quiet companions who appear in our lives at precisely the moments when we need them?
These questions eventually gave birth to Living Among Us and the novels that followed, alongside my other works in fiction, including medical science fiction.
Today, I write not because I have finally found all the answers, but because I have discovered that some questions are worth turning into stories.
Life has unfolded like a long reverie. I have learned to place its bitter episodes gently into the deep freezer of memory, while preserving the moments of love, courage, friendship and wonder.
