Brooke Gilbert was born in the shadow of the Appalachian Mountains. Having been an avid reader since childhood she carried the dream of being an author in her heart for most of her life. Brooke is currently residing in Shelbyville. Kentucky with her husband Brent, and their dog Bat Masterson, The Dog. She has felt a longing to return home and is hoping that one day God will pave a path for her back to the mountains.

Poetry takes a lot of guts. It takes a special kind of person that can bare their entire soul for strangers to see. Jasmine is one of those people. I loved it so much.

This was such a great read! And you could read this alone with reading Baby Teeth but I do highly recommend reading them both. You could read them in any order. The story is just like standing on the edge of a cliff, knowing you’re going to tip over ...more
