Beautiful Universe

“What a beautiful universe, hon" says a telescope, amazed by the heavenly night sky. “It really is”, responds another scope, who it turns out is a microscope. Hands full of algae, she wades waist deep in a disgusting swamp which reflects the sky. However, she is amazed by the heavenly microscopic life within.

Big Fish

A determined humpback whale courses through the ocean. Secondly, the humpback whale breaches the ocean surface gloriously! We realize lastly that a goldfish has jumped out of it’s bowl, flopped on the ground, its imagination having run wild.

Endgame

A 3 panel comic strip: “There’s no way out of this one, Dad. Check.” says a kid who is dominating his Dad in chess. Dad, slyly, angles his watch to reflect a beam of light onto the board, catching the attention of a cat. In the last panel, we see the pieces scatter as the cat pounces. Dad covers his smile from his distraught child.

Another Message

A bloody melee with merciless stabbing, impalements, and eye-gouging. Flashback to “Earlier:” A king announces that his soldiers are to withdraw, for he has received a written apology from the enemy via messenger bird. Disappointment ensues, however. What appeared to read “I’m sorry” on a partially-unfurled parchment is revealed to read: “I’m sorry you feel that way”.

Getting Things Done

A notepad and an Etch-a-sketch, each featuring a To-Do List, work out at the gym. Afterwards, the notepad has checked off the first thing on its To-Do List (gym). The Etch-A-Sketch however, has an empty screen. She proposes brunch.
