"It's just love."
Hello. I am Mae, and I am new to Goodreads. My two fantasy novels from my “Winds of Ericiel” series were published on September 18, 2024.
Writing them was the easy part. The publishing process was a shock, and I ran out of steam for marketing. I hope my stories will find readers organically, which I’ve been told is naive. Still, I hope my readers share the books with other kindred spirits, and my world will ease into the universe.
Though my long story is a romance set in ancient civilization, it contains violence, graphic intimacy between the characters, a non-consensual situation, and bossy, controlling men. It is a why-choose, so the main character has multiple partners. Two other male characters have a relationship that is a hands-down favorite with my betas.
Lastly, life expectancies were low in the age of my world, so my bride is underage by today’s standards, as it should be.
But it is a love story at the heart, about the beauty of our connection to others, which is what matters in the end. No one should judge others based on who they choose because, as my precious character Ioannis says, “It’s just love.” Doesn’t our world desperately need more of that?
Pass with peace, Mae.
