Hermann Hesse
“Have you also learned that secret from the river; that there is no such thing as time?" That the river is everywhere at the same time, at the source and at the mouth, at the waterfall, at the ferry, at the current, in the ocean and in the mountains, everywhere and that the present only exists for it, not the shadow of the past nor the shadow of the future.”
Hermann Hesse, Siddhartha

Mark Twain
“Action speaks louder than words but not nearly as often.”
Mark Twain

Shannon L. Alder
“The most confused you will ever get is when you try to convince your heart and spirit of something your mind knows is a lie.”
Shannon L. Alder

Stephen King
“The truth is darkness, and the only thing that matters is making a statement before one enters it. Cutting the skin of the world and leaving a scar. That’s all history is, after all: scar tissue. 3”
Stephen King, Mr. Mercedes

John Steinbeck
“He said the threshold of insult is in direct relation to intelligence and security.”
John Steinbeck, The Winter of Our Discontent
