Paperback of Ready to Risk Available Now
Woo! Finally taking a breath after yesterday's soft launch of READY TO RISK. Ready To Risk: A steamy second-chance romance
It's been a whirlwind since April, when I finally buckled down and got serious about the final revisions to this third book in the Ready for Love series. For a story that I thought would need very few revisions--besides changing it to present tense and first person POV--I ended up revising it quite a bit.
I hope I did it justice, making Stevie and Gabe's heart-wrenching journey back to each other fulfilling for the reader. It's certainly one that I'm proud of as the two of them--and Gabe's sweet children--stole a piece of my heart.
And it's always good to see Brent and Joey as well as Charlie and Luc and the rest of the Hutchinson family circle.
Whose story will be next? Any guesses? Leave a comment and let me know who you'd like to see featured in the next book in the series.
Until next time, happy reading!

ARC Sign up Open for Ready To Risk
You can now sign up to be an ARC reader for my newest contemporary romance READY TO RISK at https://forms.gle/bDB6WNyPbGJ4zsti9
Ebook ARCs will go out in early July.
Release date will be in early August.
BLURB:
STEVIE: Gabe broke my heart ten years ago. Seeing him again proves no one will ever make me feel the way he does. But I can't risk loving him and losing him as long as he continues to put his life on the line—even if it is my sister he is now protecting.
Despite my fears, our powerful chemistry tempts me to risk potential heartbreak—until I learn it's a secret from my past that could tear us apart, not a madman's bullet.
GABE: Stevie broke my heart ten years ago. Seeing her again proves that she's still the one for me. While I fall deeper in love with her, she's keeping an emotional distance. Is it my work as a bodyguard—or something else?
Convincing her to take a chance on us—on our love—becomes impossible when my job proves to be as dangerous as she feared.
As bullets fly and a heartbreaking secret is revealed, Stevie must decide between taking a second shot at love or risk losing Gabe forever.
Please check Trigger Warnings on the sign up form!
Ready To Risk is the 3rd book in the interconnected Ready For Love series. While it can be read as a standalone, it is best experienced after reading book 2, Ready To Live which is available on Kindle Unlimited.

Which Order to Read?
While Ready To Play (featuring Brent & Joey) was written and released first, the timeline overlaps with Ready To Live (Luc & Charlie). Both books have references to the other's storyline, and in my opinion, can be read in either order.
However, Ready To Live does have a subplot that does not get resolved until book 3 so if you read Ready To Live first, there will be no mention of that subplot in Ready To Play.
All this to say, if you're not sure you like the tropes in the first book or the book blurb just doesn't call to you, no worries! Feel free to jump into the second book. Maybe the references to Brent & Joey's relationship might pique your interest enough to go back and read their story.
Either way, happy reading!

Deadline to Revise Book 2
I'm working away on making final changes to book 2 of the Ready For Love series -- Ready To Live -- to get to my editor by Nov. 11th. Currently I'm listening to the latest draft which is a great way to find errors. Unfortunately, while listening recently to book 1, Ready To Play, I found a few that I need to go and fix. So much for hiring a proofreader. :-(
Next up in revisions will be going through and rewriting sentences that use my most overused words such as "get" or "I know/I feel/etc." and the one I have the hardest time removing -- "just." :/
I also need to go through and make sure I'm not starting every sentence the same way -- I, He, She...
The hardest revisions I think (other than plot holes which have been fixed) will be going through the sex scenes and making sure it's more about emotions and sensations than describing whose hands and limbs are where so that a reader knows exactly who is doing what. ;-)
Oh, yes, and let's not forget the 2 scenes where I inserted a placeholder -- a love scene and a football game scene.
Yikes! I need to get back to work!
