One glowing review can make your whole day

The Grand Design

It spreads like a brush fire in a strong wind,
eating everything in its path.
No way to drown it, and no need to try.
It has the power to push on,
to spread to every small corner,
to seek out every plot of life.
Containment is the only option,
but even that is next to impossible.

The best character I ever created

I am a firm believer in strong character development. Looking back over my work, I realize now that the best character I ever created was one that came to me in the middle of the night two long decades ago. The moment I set his name down on paper, I knew I had something truly special and there was no way that anyone would ever be able to duplicate him.
