The Grand Design
It spreads like a brush fire in a strong wind,
eating everything in its path.
No way to drown it, and no need to try.
It has the power to push on,
to spread to every small corner,
to seek out every plot of life.
Containment is the only option,
but even that is next to impossible.
It feeds with a rabid hunger.
And when everything is finally gone
it will wave a final flame
and disappear in threads of smoke
back toward the sky.
In the deathly quiet that surrounds,
and the heat that remains,

The best character I ever created
