R.K. Preston is the pen name of a real-life sailor, critical care physician, and dreamer. Sailing since he bought his first boat at sixteen on Michigan's inland lakes, he has sailed the Chesapeake, the Caribbean, and the Pacific. A prolific writer, he is the author of more than two dozen articles and book chapters on topics ranging from basic science to bioethics. Storm Warning is his second work of fiction and the second chapter of the Row v. Wave series.
