Jodi Davis is a writer and screenwriter who delights in telling stories where science and magic fight it out. When not writing, Jodi has made, launched, and now tracks actual spacecraft in her day to day life. Since the wild rockets migrate from Cape Canaveral, she likes to live nearby, where she is currently working on a BS in Physics (since one in Magic wasn't available). ...more

I wanted to tell a cyberpunk - which to me entails technology and revolution - story that had a lot of heart, messy characters who know what long term love and relationships mean and also get to fall in love (again and more) and struggle with a lifetime of choices they've made. Soft and smushy romance from cynics, rejects, and fugitives with a candy coating of science and technology. I put together a lot of stuff I love from romance (of which I'm an avid reader) and science (from my career and inclinations and fiction), one great Bowie song and here we are. SoulSearch(less)

“[Robin Stewart] was your man. True for you, you had withdrawn the crutch from his sight, but still it should have been there in your hand, ready for him. For you are a leader-don't you know it? I don't, surely, need to tell you?-And that is what leadership means. It means fortifying the fainthearted and giving them the two sides of your tongue while you are at it. It means suffering weak love and schooling it till it matures. It means giving up you privicies, your follies and your leasure. It means you can love nothing and no one too much, or you are no longer a leader, you are led.”
