Fiona Preston was born in South Africa but has spent most of her life in Australia, specifically in Lutruwita / Tasmania. She has also lived in the remote Kimberley region of Western Australia and in New South Wales. She has blogged about exploring coastlines and has been published in local publications. She has worked as a cook in an exploration camp on a remote Australian cattle station, as a bookseller, librarian and as a counsellor. In her spare time enjoys anything and everything to do with the coast and the sea.

This book motivated me to complete a project I’d set aside. It’s a quick read with short chapters and was an ideal companion at the time. I’m sure I’ll be dipping into it again from time to time.
