A U.S. Navy veteran raised in a military family, Douglas has lived and worked in various locations throughout the continental United States, finally settling with his family in Arizona. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, and has held many supervisory positions in manufacturing and electric power industries, from his origins as a naval nuclear reactor operator, to Senior Reactor Operator, electric grid transmission operator, and is currently in supervision of electric grid operations for a major power utility.
